So we keep them in the dark ages by not letting them produce cheap electricty?...Same with Iraq..Are they really a threat to anyone besides Isreal?...No!..What about North Korea?..Too late, they already have em.Oh well, lets forget about them(and the shippment of scuds)and get back to picking on the impoverished Iraqi's and Iranians by denying them the use of nuclear power plants.

they're just trying to get us all fired up over a new axis o' evil country. if it's a threat then let's go, i hate how we dick around and waste time consensus building.

also, they did an embarrasing survey in iran and most of the population was very supportive of the u.s. and very critical of their own country- it angered iranian officials so bad they kicked the team that did the survey out. i forget the exact source but you can probably find the story pretty easy on the net.

n. korea callin us pirates is no small thing either. their statement worries me more.

Iran is in the proccess of liberalizing.  The Iranian people (well, about 80% of them) are trying to get the mullahs out of power.  The Iranian president (won ~80% of the vote in a 5 way race) is a moderate who has consistantly defended the people and the concept of a free press.  Iran is the best educated nation in the region after Isreal.

We should be supporting Iran and helping the liberalizing elements, not giving the hard line conservatives a rallying point and ammo to use against President Khatami by insinuating that we're going to come after them next.

atom bombs are easy to build.
the museum in Los Alamos shows you how.
so does any college stellar physics class.
refining uranium is a time consuming, but simple process too.
eventually ever gov't that wants one will have it, unless the good 'ol usa bombs the toejam out of & terminally occupies 'em 1st...

Yeah, relax and learn to love the bomb.

Nuke weapon proliferation is a good thing. You'll probably live to see just how good it gets. :)

Fortunately, I'm an old fahrt and I probably won't.
