Who's the bloddy mary king....
« on: December 13, 2002, 05:35:25 PM »
I am! ... been told recently by my whole family I am now "designated bloddy mary maker for life" lolol

but seroiusly who has a kick-arse homemade recipe?

mine:
2 parts grey goose or kettle one
1 tablespoon worschestier
1 teaspon celery salt
1/4 teaspoon each salt & pepper
6-8 drops carlic tabasco
top off glass with V8 (the "healthy choice blue cap version"

then 1 trick... u MUST shake this up in a mixer.. not just stirred

also you must add these in the above order

Ps. this is for a large glass .. not 1 of those little tumblers.

let me know yours :)
I don't know what to put here yet.

My Bloody Mary recipe.
Put the vodka in the freezer.
Throw all the other toejam in the trash.
Go to the store and get a case of beer and some kabanosy and other snack foods.
Come back and enjoy the vodka with the stuff you got at the store.  :)

Exchange Chopin for the Grey Goose, Clamato for the V8, garlic salt for the celery salt and throw in some horseraddish and you might have something  :)

bloody mary:in a tall glass
three fingers vodka (clear grain spirit tasteless)
add ice (cracked)
dash Worcestershire (note spelling) Sauce or Hendersons Relish
add splash lemon juice
splash dry sherry (vital!)
Fill Glass with seived fresh plum tomato juice.
Salt and Pepper, Stir well, serve with slice of lemon or cucumber

because of the hassle in making these individually you can:

mix the vodka, sherry and juice up in a 3 pint jug and chill it

put ice in the glass, season and then pour on chilled juice/aclohol and stir.

It's a meaty and nutritious breakfast for a hangover.

With Clamato it's a bloody caesar i think?

happy drinking

Actually John, the original Las Vegas bloody mary was tomato juice and beer.  I tried it once and didn't like it, compared to the vodka and Major Peters I was used to.

Bloody mary is a darn good bar drink to get a buzz on.  I make non-alcoholic bloody marys sometimes for a breakfast drink:

One ice filled glass (about 2/3 way to top of glass).

Small pinch of chili powder on top of ice.

Next pour in small amount of TryMe Tiger Sauce.

Couple dashes of Worchester Sauce next.

Lightly "salt" tops of cubes with Habanero powder or add a little Half Moon Bay Iguana Radioactive Atomic Pepper Sauce.:D

Then pour in V8 and stir with a straw.

Man, that is a good drink, and a real eye opener.  Cheers!

Les

I'm gonna try that V8 and beer again.  You've got my curiosity going.  That does sound like a good drink.:)
