.... along with the military. To me, this is just another example of what a true  leader President Bush is.

I can't say I consider him a true leader, but it is a good move on his part.

They plan on vaccinating 500,000 troops.

The odds are that one person will die.

Hmmmm

odds are the 7.5 will die.
shouldn't have annonced it in advance, now they know when he'll be out of it - should have had him 'gone on vacation' for a week & shown up w/ fading remnants of cow pox to prove the point, but i guess its a slow news week...

Actually, this looks more like an effort to boost the pres' image to a public that doubts.

Its a common procedure for morale boost. In times of trouble, leadership does things to make the people endear to the leader.

Not a new trick either, its been used for thousands of years.

That he gets merit for doing it? Sure, why not. I mean, heck, with the odds of 1 in a million of getting screwed by the vaccine, he may as well buy the lotto while at it.

Now if they could only vaccinate him against pretzels... ;)

The point is, he has no need to take the vaccine.

I like Bush. He seems to be a good man that is driven by his beliefs.

I'll bet most military men and women like Bush too.

Since Bush leads based on his moral compass rather than opinion polls, he will have my respect.

Dont take this the wrong way, although im sure some will flame me for it.

But good ol' saddam didnt have to release all those people from prision either. ;)

I dont see anything wrong OR good about bush taking a vaccine.. even though he "does not need it" (? what makes you think he doesn't?). Im just pointing out the obvious reasons why its becoming a media circus with white house seal of approval.
