I just purchased a Linksys wireless router.
I have a cable modem (Time-Warner Cable) and connects fom the modem to PC via USB (ethernet cable goes into a converter of some sort). As the software configures the router, it gives me this bs about not finding any sort of connection to the isp. I havent been able to use the motherboard's integrated ethernet card (it doesnt recognize the connection for some reason and it IS enabled in the bios).
Is the USB connection screwing something up? Can I only go through the USB connnection thingy or does it matter if its through the card?
I haven't done much networking (as you can probably tell) and any help would be extremely appreciated.
System:
Windows XP
ECS K7S5A mobo
AMD T-bird 1.2ghz
384mb PC2100
GF3 Ti200
Soundblaster Audigy
PS: Is the 1394 networking (125 mb connect) included w/ the Audigy pretty expensive?
