It would be interesting to know how many members of AH
pay for a Second account so they can monitor or "spy" on the enemies countries... I know that when my Squad launches an NOE
strike,
and the thought of the other country being able to watch the NOE strike as it gets underway, and respond accordingly with
 advanced information kinda sux...

How many of you guys have second AH accounts solely for the purpose of monitoring enemy countries plane movements to benefit you or your country?

Do you consider it spying or just gaming the game"so to speak"?

And if you have a second account how many regularly vulch there 2nd account to gain rank and score??

Like anyone would answer any of these Questions?!

Just curious?!

If they do this I doubt they will admit it here.  Also, if this is the case, they are taking the game way too seriously IMHO.

I had two accounts, during the past 4 years, but my son is "on and off" so I cancel them when they don't get much use.

I've "looked over my shoulder" while he's been flying (he flies different countries, depends what mood he's in) and reported the hidden CV's diligently to my country. :D

Its gaming the game for sure, and many consider it despicable.

That said, whatcha gonna do about it? IMO, tuff it up, this is what squad e-mails and radio channels are for - there's no need to advertise that NOE mission to your whole country, and no need to take off from a busy field where spies might be hanging out. Spies in friendly territory are a fact of life in war, yanno.

Think of it this way - "Need to know" is an element of security, and security is a vital element of any successful tactical plan. Practicing good mission security simply adds to your immersion and enjoyment ;)

Culero-

Correct me if I am wrong, but would'nt a NOE mission show up on DAR of the spy's map, thereby negating his need to intercept messages?

Meaning, we could set up a mission with 20 pilots in the same room, and only communicate by crib notes and carrier pidgeon, and all the spy has to do is look at the map and see a clump of "Friendlies". All he has to do then is report them to his cronies.

Guys guys guys..."way back when..."  Rooks and bish used to assign someone to watch me while I was online.  Spies flourished like daisies in the spring rains.  every mission I put up was intercepted seemed like...we just added more fighter cover, or overcame it with fighter sweeps prior to main-body mission launches.  You have to plan on being intercepted. Nothing ever goes unnoticed in war.(well, almost nothing)

Those guys aren't llikely to admit it.  But they are about no doubt.  I knew a guy once who would fly his own goons behind him with a second account for example.  I know a few, but if they want people to know I will let them say so themselves.

An in-game running log accessable by players would shed a lot of light on such activitities.

Sounds like a waste of money to me. Its a video game with cartoon airplanes, not a money-generating business operation for the users.

Screw the logs, all is fair in love and war... deal with it. No need to monitor everyones actions just so people can find out what other folks are doing, its not your business.

I've had my fair share of missions ruined by unexpected resistance, that so happened to launch at the right time. But it doesn't take long to get support at an airfield, once a dar shows up or a field starts flashing. (10 seconds at most to get 5 folks up) which can hold a mission up for a minute or two, where ten more folks can come over and help.

I thought that was obvious too Muck, I just didn't feel like pointing it out to Culero...  The Dots show up at the base
you take off from.... No mention of any raid need to happen at all... Just the Dots on the screen and an observant spy!!

And also dont forget the "All Missons" tab on your clipboard you can access while in flight.  Shows mission composition, pilot names, launch time, and starting field right there in one click :)

Hmmph....I fly Bish and have for a few years now and I dont ever recall seeing anyone talking about having Rip duty.  Well other than those times when you would see on squad channel someone who would announce they were going AFK to "take a Rip".  But I always assumed that was along the same lines as "dropping the kids off at the pool".

Just because I was paranoid didn't mean I shouldn't have been ;)

FYI, make the LAUNCH time and LAST JOIN time for a mission one minute apart from the latest flight start time, then your mission will not show up on the inflight map ;)
