I thought this was the best movie yet...very well done. Right up there, just a tad ahead of Star Trek II

Good laughs, great action...

And you know Data will be back, eventually. Another 7 years of learning humanity?

Hmmm,..out of all the First Generatoin movies,...First Contact still the best.

Uhmmm,...Nemisis is the last First Gen movie, by the way.

Never got into TNG very much. It always seemed too sanatized and McGiverish. "Captain, it will take three weeks to fix the warp coil. I need it in three minutes. Yes Captain."

I had higher hopes for Enterprise, but it's a victim of "Egos on the Away Team" syndrome. Lets see, for this dangerous mission we need the captian, first officer and second officer (heven forbid some main character get left out of the shoot-em up). We'll just entrust the ship and crew to third officer so and so. Admittedly, the first series had some of this, but it seemed to be more accidental (a routine, casual event takes an unexpected bad turn, etc.) rather than ship policy. To Pol is pretty inspiring though

I saw Cap'n Picard on Conan the other night, and he said that wasn't necessarily so. He mentioned the first they heard that it might be the last movie was that little blip on the movie poster. He also didn't say that he was sure there would be another one.

There was one episode of TNG that I thought was incredible.

It was about a probe that they run across, and bring aboard. The probe then takes over Picards brain for the entire show. It allows him to relive the life of a man on the probe's planet (which was destroyed by a nova or something). Picard spends the entire show trying to learn to play a flute. Very well done and IMHO one of the best shows ever.

Sanitized? Oh, I see... The edited version had some dialog removed that leads to perceived artificiality. You should have bought the DVD with the uncut scenes. It was actually quite natural:

Ah that is a good episode.

Liked "Yesterday's Entrprise" too. Other favorites are "Cause and Effect" where they are in a time loop, or "Booby Trap".

I really liked the Voyager series a lot, several great ones in there. The one (name eludes me) where the Hirogen invade and the holodeck is World War II....2 part episode.

I agree, this was the best star trek ever. Great bad guy, special effects were not over done, (starwars) a lot of suspence, and great use of subtlety. They seemed to take some great scenes from other movies and tastefully added them into Nemisis: Mad Max - the beginning, the original star wars - the shootouts in the ships coridors, and others. I was pleasantly suprised, and I would definately watch it again. Funny thing; when I left the theatre, I also said, this one was better than Khan. Check it out.

Miko, I was actually referring to the entire series. It is entertaining, but it was just a bit too polished and clean for my tastes and I never went out of my to watch it regularly. The federation technology seemed just too superior and all-encompassing, and it was too easy to manufacture a convenient solution to most problems. I'm catching a lot more on reruns these days though.

I actually liked the first TNG movie better than most of the original series movies, though Rath of Kahn was a winner. I'll probably see Nemesis on DVD when it comes out.
