Thanks! I'll post it in our M5 forum. (I don't have an M3 "yet"--330Ci is what I have......2005 is the target for an M3, though now I'm seriously looking at the Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe in lieu of the M3)

About 10k more than an M3..so, why not?

Rip,

Look close at that 911..it shares part bins with the Boxer... a little FYI.  One of the finer things in life with my Miata group is the club pres is a driver trainer for PCA (the florida chapter).  He has a sweet 996... I've had the chance to drive it..  heheh.. Nice thing is the PCA guys like us Miata guys and let us run at their event in Roebling..which is a better track then Sebring which is not a car frendly track for daily driver cars..

Yes, it does share parts with the boxster.  But thats about where it ends. Two totally different suspensions and engines. Best yet, this one HAS a back seat (I need that).  Anything above this model of Porsche is out of my price range for a new vehicle. This one starts at $68,000.  Boxster's start at $42,000 as a comparison ;)  Of course for the Boxster, you're only talking 225 HP (I have that in my 330ci), the P-Car Carrera has 320 hp (0-60 in 5 seconds flat)
