Cages Stuka Sounds
« on: December 19, 2002, 03:28:20 AM »
Here are my stuka sound files.   I wanted the siren sound for the stuka so I went and see what I could come up with.   At first I put the sound with the bomb drop which sounded good but not very realistic.   Then I got to thinking, that bird is so slow why not put it in the wind file.   It worked but only after you pass 300 mph.  Not much anyone can do about that, but it sounds good.   It will work until Mitsu comes up with better sounds.  :)

Just create a folder called ju87d3 in your sounds folder and extract the sounds into it.  Then fire up the stuka and try it out.   Mitsu feel free to use, or modify these sounds for your own sound pak.  :)

Thanks guys!   Not really sure but if the other person has the sounds they may hear the siren on the ground.   I know my P-38 sounds do work while on the ground.   Can always tell when a 38 in taking off, landing, or making a run on the base.   Will be interesting to see if the siren can be heard from the ground.   If it can be heard, guess it would give the guy on the ground that sinking feeling of impending death :)

Cage:

Great job on the siren. And, although I've not heard it (no opportunity yet) I'm quite sure the guy on the ground will hear it..

Thanks

It's fake though...rename cage's wind.wav to whistle.wav, and paste it to Aces High Sounds directory. You can hear sirens when Stuka dropped bombs on you.

WTG Cage, your siren sound is perfect. It would be great stuff when HTC added the early model stuka which has a real siren.

Can u assign a sound to the dive brakes?

That would be best if possible.

Yeager as far as I know there is no place holder for sound connection for the dive brakes.
