I don't think any FM's have been changed for a long time.

FYI:
Hitech and Pyro have always let the users know when a FM changes since the Warbird days.

I thought the same thing at first Hazed.   I realized that the extended views over the sides of the windshield not only increased the feeling of speed at low level, I was more aware of the sky and terrain during rolls.

It's kind of like washing your car and thinking "Gee, it feels faster today".

All in your head dude.

One thing that is NOT in my head is the fact that the plane's tail stays on the ground now when I hit the brakes after landing.

I discovered a while ago that holding down the brake key as you touch down causes your plane to "stick" much better than when not holding brakes.  99% now I can land with zero bounce in virtually any plane, without having to be silky smooth on the landing.

"what is the reason for the change?"

crack smoking or some other elicit drug is the reason.

::thinking hard...thinking back...what was it::

something vaguely pops into my head as my primary flight instructor said, when i was a student pilot on my first approach going on and on and on and on about heels on the floor on landing.  enjoy while you can riding the brakes on landing in the simulated environment.  dont try that on your first flight lesson bud.

-All this coming from someone who stopped a 172N in under 150 feet.

happy (hard) landings guys.

Could be the shiny new paint  but I'd SWEAR the p51 brakes much more effectively than it used to... stopping distances seem much shorter.

I agree Steve, not only does it stop quicker but it keeps its tail on the ground now.  Previously, if you used the brakes in the P-51 it'd cause the tail to come up.  A long enough time ago (probably around version 1.0 or 1.01), you'd get a prop strike if you weren't really careful     :)
