.... did instrument backlighting go away?

I was in a pony at night for first time since update and all my gauges where dark except for the ammo load and fuel tank setting.

Yes there is less light in the cockpit.  Im thinking because you need outside light to show better inside for the pilot.

Which of the aircraft that we have in AH historically had instrument lighting?  I'm betting only a few (probably only the buffs)...

Most, if not all, of the aircraft modelled in AH had instrument lights in the real world.

It was either red, or indiglo colored.. depending on nationality.

Personally I prefer the dark cockpits to the day-lit ones pre 1.11.  It makes it much easier to see outside the cockpit, and makes flying in darker situations(dawn, night, dusk, under clouds) much more tolerable.

There needs to be a dang way to see the instruments at night without turning so the moon does it.  It is really annoying.

Well, we should really have this modelled then otherwise the whole nighttime effects now are going to be wasted...  Can't fly at night without being able to read the instruments...

Instument lights work, but they only work at night, so they don't work in the dusk/dawn . Go offline and set time to 0230 and you'll see .
