movie of real tiger starting up

The radio control models from tamiya have real engine sounds for their RC models. On their web site there are 2 small quicktime movies of the actual recording session.

unfortunately the sound is rather poor in the videos but at least it gives you an idea of how it should sound.check them out:

maybe some clever sod out there could make this sound a usable sound file?

theres plenty of little videos of the tanks in action so maybe some of the others have decent usable sounds?

good luck :p

Sounds really good.

But unfortunately, there are much Reverbs because it's recorded in the factory.
I don't know how I can remove it.

Ya cant fight physics......

once a sound is recorded with abient reverb, it's there forever. You can only pull out 630-800mhz and some 3.15-4k to maybe make it sound less "hollow" but you will lose integrity in your sound as well as decreasing your gain (volume).
The best samples would be completly "dry" - as in recorded in a dampened or sound proof room with no standing audio waves.
I dont think getting a tank in a recording studio is feasable.
All in all - the "dryer" the recording/sample - the better....
You can always add reverb to sounds - just cant take it away.
If you could - someone would be able to make ALOT of $$$$

my 2cents,

like i said,i couldn't remove it, it's just not noticeable when you turn everything else up and reduce overall volume
