Doh, imagine that Shane, your infantile little remarks and bantering actually make you the culprit for atleast one squelch, my bet is there are quite a few more!

Yet again, you seem to feel that your $14.95 a month gives you the right to tell others how to spend their time on AH???  This arrogant philosophy of yours absolutely astounds me, as I am sure it does others.  The fact that a person is from AW RR means nothing, because the chat buffer in there, NEVER had the likes of your mindless meaderings injected on such a regular basis.  Take a hint bucko, regardless of whether you think it is 3 or 4 people picking at you over your behavior, it's not.  Many, many people are sick of your foolishness.  It is time for you to grow up and stop acting like a imbecile.

Why the hell should that matter Shane?  I feel sorry for her if she did have that experience.  It is great to see women in this arena, and if it weren't for the lack of hormonal control by some and the juvenile antics of those like you, there would probably be more.  Or wait, maybe you identify with her, could Culero be right?

Oh, I know you are going to come back with some name calling response about how it is your right to act like an arse, and something along the lines of my heritage and / or parents being freaks or some sexual inuendo along those lines.  But before you do, could someone please explain to me what the following mean?

- facestudmuffin

- slobber donkey

- ankle humping (can not figure what does that)

Sorry for my ignorance, just have been out of high school so long, can not fathom where that juvenile language has gone too...

Dumb question - if this is so, why squelch the channel? Why not just Shane?

I think you *DO* have a good point, I just think you've allowed yourself to be provoked into singling out one person when in fact its more of a problem than that.

Wouldn't you agree that if you could add names to your own persistent squelch list that this problem would be solved?

~hint hint~ ;) ;)

I  hope Shane isn't saying that his smack talkin is a heritage of AW.  There was smack talking in AW but it was nothing like what Shane does here, unless it was by Shane himself.  There WAS a tradition in AW(fading in the end, lost completely on EA) of good sportsmanship and a friendly community.  Community...friendly.. respectful.  This claim about trash talking being a legacy of AW is pure roadkill.  It's true that in the last year or two that trash talking dimwits like shane were flooding the text buffer.  Before dullard children like shane became commonplace the smack talking that went on was clever, artful, and downright humorous.  Sometimes you'd have to read the message twice to catch the dig and more often than not the target of the jibe had a good laugh as well; not the feeling of being a target for a barrage of juvenile insults. Shane seems to think calling someone a slobberdonkey or an anklehumper is smacktalking. It's not at all smacktalking.  It's abuse and namecalling.. nothing more.  Using the same tired insults again and again ins't anything akin to smacktalking, it's simply the angry ranting of an unimagintive mind. I've thrown things at Shane, giving him the opportunity to come up with something approaching a clever response...all I get are things like "Learn ACM" (my fighter numbers make Shane's look like he belongs in the TA).  Bottom line here is that Shane lacks the ability to smack talk so he must rely on a small handful of insults and hope he can convince people he is a clever orator when in fact our community knows he falls far short.  I simply squelch the love muffin, in the past it was because he  was on my team and I didn't want to become negatively biased towards him. Now I do it to keep my text buffer from being filled with droll insults from a childlike mind.  New people that try the game don't "see Shane coming".  I wonder how many people have been put off by his tirades.  If Shane says his "smacktalking"  is a legacy of AW... he's quite sadly mistaken.

I'm all for reasonable moderation of forums. Lack of moderation at AGW is what caused me to leave that forum quite some time ago.  I just wish it were practical to moderate the yapping in the arenas at times, some of the childishly offensive nonsense some oiks come out with... (shakes head sadly).  This is one reason I'd prefer to be able to squelch ANY channel, so that if the Country channel (for instance) for the side I'm flying for has started to slide downhill, I dont have to have it waste space on my monitor.

Vive le moderation - en moderation! ;-)

you're both putting words in my mouth, steve (mr. potty-mouth who gets muted for profanity), and painting a bogus picture of AW before it had it's plug pulled - oh, you mean the last 7 people there were all nice-nice.. i see.

lol... if you think you know ACM, you're welcome to ask me to the DA anytime - not that you would, because like your squaddie crumb you're much too afraid to leave the safety of a crowd/ack/alt.

and that's why you're humping my ankle, to defend poor widdle crumb's inability to get barely more than 2 kills per hour, and mine (and other's commentary on his lack of "skills".)  lol.

right, steve, this is what it's really all about when it comes to *you* stalking me on these boards along with the rest of the slobberdonkeys.

btw you need some original whine material yourself. yours are both repetitive as well as being typical noob whines.

and remember, mr potty mouth, vulgarity is the first refuge of the mediocre.  and it seems your posts are usually laced with them, as well as your ch1/2 buffers.

here, have a set of blinders, or would you prefer a mirror?

Shane I know you can read, or at least have someone read these posts to you, but can you comprehend?  I'm not talking about the last people in AW... I'm talking about the first  and the many that joined in the years before your mommy let you log on to the internet (curse her for ever giving in).  Long before the likes of you came along to poison the text buffer with senseless insults.
You're right about one thing, I do get muted occasionally(been a while).  but when I deserve it, I quietly take my medicine.  You on the otherhand rant and whine ceaselessly about your mutes and popup warnings...such a child.  As far as putting words in your mouth.. I'd love to... but two things stop me.  1. People would know that it wasn't you doing the talking because your barrage of dull witted insults would cease. 2. Your foot is usually in the way.  What has Crumb got to do with the fact that you're a boor?
Are you talking about the time you switched sides to hunt Crumb w/ AKAK?   Ya, I killed AKAK a couple of times(I was winging Crumb), he had no effective wingie so he was at a disadvantage. and you were nowhere to be found...Crumb landed unscathed.  so I'm not really sure what your point is... it was long ago.. let it go, get over it.  Feel free to comment on how you perceive Crumb's skills, he can take care of himself.  I will say that he is a good wingie and a team player, a nice guy.  The things you say about my flying are way off base.. have no basis in fact..as I said before you've rarely encountered me.... you have no idea how I fly.  I don't fly in packs.. tend to fly alone actually....I don't want to compete w/ 6 or 7 other guys for a kill.  Anyway I digress. Shane... it is obvious by your miserable demeanor that you garner no joy from playing this game..your only reason for staying therefore must be that you get a sick thrill out of spreading your vitriol around.  one day HTC will have had their fill of you.. I'm confident your days are numbered.  People who offer the DA up are those who cannot defend their current position..
If vulgarity is the first refuge of the mediocre, surely the LA7 is the last.  Shane  do the community the only service you can.. leave. Ok child, time's up.  I have things to do... rant on  I'll be on to ther stuff.

Be not cornfused

Smack talk is smack... nothing to be admired or enjoyed. The taunts that became legendary in AW came from players who had the imagination and talent to do it well, in a few words, without vulgarity or trash talk, and make it so funny it was a pleasure to behold.

Some legend wannabes try to make a name for themselves, alongside the likes of DoK, Slug and Holmes, by using cheap gutter talk lacking any imagination. It's a poor substitute.

The legends could say more in a few words than all the trash you see on channel 1 each night.

hmmmm, when was the last time you saw me "whine" in here about getting nailed by a moderator for vulgarity?

hmmm.... never.

i do participate in the moderator threads, sure, and i do at times question about how the process works and whether it's at times a bit heavy-handed, depending on particular moderator(s). a cursory reading of *others* whines, some seemingly valid, some not (IMHO) will give you food for thought. this is merely discussion on the board at which every opportunity you ankle humpers beat the drum and cry "mommy! mommy! make the bad man stop!!"

but, let's be up front,  about the ulterior motive to this ankle humping of yours - it's all about crumb.  no biggie, i could really care less about how he flies, he was an amusing squeak-toy going on and on about SPIES!!! and WE DON'T NEED YOUR KIND ON ROOKS SIDE for a while after I pretty much told him I gave a Knit a posrep for a little dweeb hunt.  lol.

btw, your stats are pretty revealing and indicate *you* could use a little TA time, as well as some DA time. (we'll do ponys, how about that?). doesn't it get a trifle boring milking enemy strats safely behind your own front to game your buff ranking? it sure does appear you could use some more practice jabo-ing that pony of yours.  you are a capable vulcher, i'll give you that.

so how about it? you wanna brush up on what ACM is and how to use it? DA? anytime. :)

of course you can try and "walk away" but you just know the next time you see me post, you'll be back humping my ankle like a good little bllinders wearing slobberdonkey.

you might wanna schedule a visit with an optemetrist about that myopia.

Grizzly, well said.  I do miss the old days of good natured ribbing that was prevalent of AW DOS on GEnie, and the others...  I left AW because of the malarchy that became so prevalent on EA.  Most of the those thatr enjoyed the same left too...  how else would AH been formed had people like that not left.

The other end of the spectrum here is what a few are trying to point out, yet one individual is consistently missing out.  We all know who I am talking of, Shane.  He seems to feel it is $ driven right to attempt to make everyone else around him sick of his playground antics.  I for one, have been guilty for getting into it with him on CH1 after I stupidly took his bait of an insult and followed suit.  But the "Bottomline Here" is that Shane, consistently and energetically insults and berates people to the point that I am, and most others, are sick of having to constantly squelch him.  Many have tried to get him to change his ways and just fly and enjoy, nothing is working...  is it possible to get HT to call his parents and have a word with them?  I am out of ideas, it just needs to end.

awwwww poor widdle fella... the phrase "lol gangers"
"ta ---->" "silly HO dweeb" hurt you widdle feelings.

it's when i say that, and what you slobberdonkeys so conveniently ignore, is that the peanut gallery jumps on me with insults and comments of their own that i merely reply to.

often i don't even say anything. i'm quiet as much, if not more than i am vocal on ch1, and often am engaged with either friendly banter or helping others or busy on ch2 giving statreps.

because I called *you* a skill-less lamer dweeb joust warrior ackbunny once or twice (and you *are* one), you've made it *your* crusade to hump my ankle here.

awwwww....  here's your  milk. nappy nappy time for you.
