UFO sighted in Main Arena :)

Unfortunately, this is only the last minute or so of the fight.

Sekiji was being chased by this UFO when Asmodan and I dove in to help out.  I thought there was something funny about the con as I approached, and it was only after he'd made an abrupt 180 degree turn out of my gunsight that I realised what it was.

A Nik, minus 1 1/2 wings, rear fuselage and entire tail section, dogfighting merrily away on the deck.

OK so its probably a connect problem I hear you say.  Well, he was awfully smooth in his movements from both Asmodan's POV and also mine.

Funny how selective lag can enable you to maneuver smoothly whilst at the same time completely ignoring damage inputs, ain't it  

I would have LOVED to discuss how he did it, but unfortunately when we asked him about it, he abruptly logged off.  

So now I'll never know

you dont have any reliable evidence because all the video shows is you over shot him, turned, hit him a few times(should have killed him in what you were flying) and the other guy got him

Kinda odd tho how he has no rear and one wing and landed like that tho

Evidence of what G10?  I was posting this for amusement, not to go to trial with it  

BTW, although I only filmed the last minute of the fight, this Nik fought in this condition for at least 3 minutes prior to his eventual ditch.

Couple of weeks ago, I saw the exact same thing, and it was even a niki.

I was manning a 5" gun on the fleet and watched a enemy Niki engage a squaddie of mine in a seafire right inside the ack umbrella.

They fought literally for over 4 minutes, with a smooth graceful swirling dogfight, no hint of warp or stutter at all.

Of course it was very strange that I hit the guy with 5" proximity bursts 3 times, and my squaddie hosed him down over and over, until he was literally just a cockpit with a smoke trail.

Then he turned around and flew merrily away.

Of course it was just a bad connect... *cough... roadkill.... cough*

Film really isn't evidence, becuase in the replay film planes that have been shot down still fly around and do wacky toejam . Anybody else notice this ?

Yeah, and if you rewind, you'll see chutes flying around if you've already watched the part where the guy bails.  Only way to avoid that is to open the film from scratch again.

Can't watch the film right now cause I'm at work.. but did this individual shoot anyone down?

Did he shoot at anyone (the film wouldn't show it)?

If not.. that's a pretty easy one to figure out... but I'll let the pros do that (HTC pros.. not self appointed hacker identification pros).

Yeah AK, it was actually pretty funny (though not at the time).  The Nik had been chasing Sekiji when Asmodan and I barrelled in.  I blew my first pass but Asmodan nailed him GOOD, blew off his entire rear half and one wing.  

Then Asmodan called 'You're clear' to Sekiji.  Of course, the next thing we know, the half-Nik does a 180 reversal onto Sekiji's tail and blows him apart.  Asmodan and I are high above him, saying 'WTF' and we then re-engage.  That's where my short film starts.

It really was quite funny at the time... well, I suppose it wasn't funny for Sekiji

a sugestion ! i know  and wasseen this type of behavior from open Beta
me and Torque was chasing a wingles tailes La5 in flames , more exactly we burned a La5 on spare parts  it just symple refused notice dmg and we end shot down , we begin  whine on cheat on ch 1 HT is there and we get kicket !   so not use seriosly word Cheat or u be kicket  


I think this is not a cheat or hack is it a LAme AH server who sux sometime !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
