Off topic, I know but this will get to the most people this way.
Especially important for Suncom stick owners.
I just finished getting off the phone with the guys who took over Suncom.
The guy I talked to has worked for Suncom for 4 years, and evidently is a flight simmer himself.
Background:
I had my SFS USB stick's hat switches fail on me and I was looking to either repair it or buy a new stick.
I decided to give them a call to see if I could get some new switches and solder them into my stick.
After explaining my situation he told me he would send me a new circuit board instead of just the switches.
I expected to pay for this since my stick is off warranty but surprise...no charge.
Then he let in on a piece of info about an upcoming product from the "new" company.
They are developing a USB throttle and stick combo that uses BETTER quality parts then the Suncom products from the previous owner.
Switches like crazy on these babies.
I have always liked the feel/tension/accuracy on my SFS stick but I had heard of problems with long term reliability.
The 1st new product from the new company sounds like it will nice indeed and will have better electronic hardware.
(I was told the price is not confirmed yet, since development is not complete, but around $100 seems to be the planned target price)
NOTE FROM SUNCOM OWNERS:
IF you own one of these sticks, and the pots or switches have failed, give these guys a call. You may get a pleasant surprise.
