Ha Mauser, you can get the original Macross in Japanese with English sub-titels form AnimEgo. I waited 2 years for them to remaster and clean up the originals. They look great! Robotech is what got me into Anime, in fact me and some friends started a anime club and then started a con. :)

Tumor, I remember Quark... Trash collecting in space! I loved those twins! 2 seasons, if that?

LePaul, I'm waiting for the UFO series (Gerry Andersen's project between Thunderbirds and Space:1999) to come out on DVD... now THAT is a series I loved as a kid. Sci-Fi channel ran a marathon several years back and I managed to get several of them on VHS. I thought it held up pretty well, considering it was a 1970 show depicting the "future"... 1980! Lol.

umm ' buck rogers' with the annoying little robot that went 'biddy biddy biddy' and,  battlestar galactica with the 'Cylons' they were way cool :)

but cartoon wise for Sci-fi, my earliest memories, are for 'G-Force'  I think with the ship that turned into a phoneix or something ? in japenese anime style with bad dubbing :)

Your thinking of "Battle of the Planets "
The ship turned into a fiery phoenix, and G-Force was made up of  Jason, Mark, Princess, Tiny, and Keyop

Trivia of the day:
The voice of the 'biddy biddy biddy' robot was the legendary Mel Blanc, the voice of Bugs Bunny, Yosemite Sam, Foghorn Leghorn, and most of the rest of the Looney Tunes characters.

And of course, Looney Tunes had the best of the Sci Fi characters, Marvin the Martian.

I think our Destroyer in Aces High should have it as a perk!

That "destroyer" was the Yamato, a battleship that was bigger and better than our own Iowa class! Too bad battleships were obsolete in the face of carrier groups :D

I saw a few of those episodes on tape recently...love when the Commander meets up with the ship, at high altitude and very fast...put gear down, and forget physic, buffeting and any of that, makes a landing in the Phoenix, yada yada yada
