Both real and somewhat funny.  I am at work and have a lot of time on my hands :o

#1 don't: to online gaming.  NEVER EVER give up the keys to your account to anyone PERIOD.

#2 don't:  Don't Cyber.  Its a proven fact that 80% of females in online games are not Females.  LPN and a few others are few and far between and they don't ever cyber.

#3 don't:  Don't give out your real ISP e-mail to anyone who is not a long time trusted friend.  Get a free online account on yahoo, or hotmail for online gaming communications.

#4 don't:  Don't ever sacrifice real life for a game.  These things can be addictive.  Have fun, don't get crazy.

#5 don't:  If you are about to put your fist through the monitor.  It's time to turn off the PC and do something else.  PC's ain't cheap and the fool that ticked you off will only laugh once he/she finds out what you did.

#1 Do:  Have Fun.  Online gaming is a blast.  Just remember its Fun damn it!

#2 Do:  Make friends, but be mindful that there are a lot of creeps in the world and you can't see the folks on the other end of the keyboard.

#3 Do: Pay your bills on time.  Most online gaming companies (about 80%) are flying by a wing and a prayer.  If your not living up to your end of the bargain then it makes it hard on the folks that are making your life fun.  If you don't believe me then I suggest you do a little math.  Think about the time involved in creating and administrating a game like this.  Then times the amount of users by 15 bucks a month.  The hard ware and software for this stuff plus health care and a decent living subtracted from your total and there are your profits.  It ain't much.

#4 Do: Try to attend conventions when ever possible.  It's a great way to meet the folks on the other end of the Keyboard in a controlled environment.  You will see the reasons for some of the don'ts as well as make life long friends.

#5 Do:  Keep an open mind.  Folks in online gaming are from every walk of life across the globe and from every price and social bracket that you can conceive of.  Online gaming and other social online activities truly brings the world closer.

#6 Do: When you find yourself feeling being irritated by the sight of others having some harmless silly fun while playing a game, consider acquiring a sense of humor :)

Hehehe...Oed, yer making my point for me :)

Life's too short, and there's plenty of really bad stuff out there to be upset about. Letting yourself be annoyed by the sight of other people acting silly and having fun is pointless, even when you think they're being stoopid. Better to have a laff at them instead, in that case, because smiling's more healthy for ya than frowning.

Well Oed,

I will not burden folks with what I am really thinking other then the fact that you are pretty ignorant to go off on someone you dont know for what ever.  The name the DeOl Onz has nothing to do with Ebonics.  It has to do with the Typical Chicago Inner City Accent shared by all races that have been here more then 20 years or have been born here.  Your pathetic display pretty much puts you in the donts category.  In other words.  Dont pay attention to close minded Morons.   Hell I would almost bet money that you didn't even bother to read my post.  You just went off for nothing.  What a twit!  Have fun in the flames.....All respect for you and anything you write just went out the window.

Smatter Ode and Santa.  OLDMn, one of me squadees, or me shoot ya in the tale section a few times and smile about it?

Is your ego that weak?

Get some professional help boys, or stick to flying offline.  Either way your hijacking of a thread intended to help people and making it into a flame war truly illustrates the lack of intellect and maturity involved here folks.  Thank you for giving the community examples of some of the things that I warned them about in my Thread starting post.  Keep up the good work!

In EQ the command is Ignore, here it's .squelch Name.  It was designed for the like of Ode and other small minded fools that plague Sentient beings everywhere.

Every game needs a command like that.  Live it, love it, and never forget it.

Well, this is edited from what I posted orginally.
I re-read it and realized that responding to these fools is pointless.  You make an effort to help folks, and stupid people will always twist it into something else.  Well done morons.  Please Delete this thread Moderators.
