I saw a Panzer warp the other day. Was lining up to bomb him and just as I was about to release the bomb he warped about 100 yards or so to the left.

Damn Warps.

I think it has something to do with the net yeager, most of the other sims out there have been reporting bad connections, like Gaming Zone, and others..stupid internet shoppers/brokers!

I think you mean Napster users Pup...

One Napster user uses more bandwidth than probably 100 stock traders.

yeager,

I can't say I see that much warping over all.  But,  There are a few who are constantly warping.  Case in point was the Knight P-51 over A29 last night.  That was my third engagement of the night with that guy, all three times he was warping and I mean warping!!   not you typical  little warp   but the big  all over the sky warps.   He was told all three times he was warping.  He said he knew and he would relog.  I assume he did relog, but the next time I ran into him it was the same deal. And to top it all off, this guy bragged on ch1 about his maneuver kills !!   I think AH should have some kind of protection against this type of connection Issue.   IF your Connection is not good enough to fly,  a pilot should not be allowed off the ground.  I know that sound unfair to some, but how fair is it to the guys who had to fly against him last night?  I think if this sort of thing was setup you would see guys working harder to find and correct the problems with there connection.  When this problem hit me a few months back, I called my ISP,  they found the problem and had it fixed within a few days.  This might not be the best answer to the problem,  but it might cut down on some of the warping especially from the guy who know that have a bad connection but push the issue anyway.

Just my two cents guy.  Flame away all you folks with bad connections.

I saw some warp last night- was chasing down a 190A5 in my 109F, had him cooked. He did what he should have done, he started scissoring. He knew that his 205 pal would get me if he could live long enough. I was D200 and under and he would warp from 3 to 9. I managed a few pings in him and had finally worked him down on energy to the point was about to bite it when his bud finally got me.

Now let me be clear- he did absolutely nothing wrong. He didn't cheat, he didn't stick stir, he flew smart and lived. The more it warped the more I wanted it, and it cost me. This is the situation where people normally come here and say someone is cheating- not me. I congratulated the pilot but asked him to check connects, and I checked mine. I think he knew that if someone is locked on your tail for two minutes under D400 all the way and you live, well...    Point is the net has been screwy for a lot of us for some time now, therefore I would avoid the temptation of accusing anyone of cheating. More, to exclude people from flying because their connects are not quite up to snuff sounds attractive until you realize the arena would empty faster than the salad bar at a weight-watchers' convention.

Guys, help me out here.  Post some traces to the Internet forum when this occurs.  It will help isolate problems.  Please do not edit the traces to remove the 2 hop.  You can remove your IP address from the trace, and I encourage you to do so, for security reasons.
I cannot control the Internet, but I can make calls to let ISP's know they may have a problem.
Of course, if Sprint shows up the the path, in either direction, all bets are off.  Making calls to them is like talking to a wall, but the wall is more responsive.  Even if they acknowledge the problem, they are just as liable to make it worse if they try to fix it.
Above.net has been having many, many problems lately as well.  It looks like they are prepping themselves to be bought.  That is just speculation on my part.
