Profanity Filter......
« on: December 24, 2002, 07:02:09 AM »
Nearly got myself banned last night trying to help (I assume) a newbie who was flying around shooting anything that moved and "Killshootering himself at regular intervals.

Tuning to them on vox got no reply neither did tuning to them on text. (At which point I just assumed they were either ignorant or a danger to the gene pool so left them to it)

His/Her Handle contained letters the Filter did not like. I'm all for the Filter on open channels but HTC, Please at least close the loop so that either someones handle when used in a message bypasses it or do not allow the creation of the ID in the first place.

AMEN to that!

And while your in there mucking about with the coding for that, how about either supporting , or dropping the IJN/IJA plane set????  At the least, let those fliers know wtf is going on with the Japanese side of the war please.

Here's a final 'whine'... Educate your CM's about plane production/service runs!  Maybe, hand them links to those WW2 historical information DB's that the military is so found of creating?  You know.... all in the name of game balance?

BAH Humbug!  Fester ain't all that hot...

Why just the other day I blew him out of the air....

Along with the twenty other guys chasing him...

But we were forty to start... :D

Yeah, Fester use the machines advantages and his infinite patience of a hunter to where his target down, then BOOM... you're dead.  But he isn't titanium, and can be killed like anyone else in the game. ;)

Fester:  You n me have crossed swords and words a few times.  I admire your patience, skill, and downright neighborly salute to those whose scalps you've taken.   And those Mossies we had in Snapshot, just prove you're a killer in anything with wings that fits around ya...!  Excellent teamwork we pulled on that Gestapo raid.  >S< to a mission well done.;)

Hehe 10bears,
 Must of missed that one.....

This guy was called "Kinsqueak" I think. Judging by the amount of times I watched him blow up from the tower he's a pretty good shot just not sure who he was supposed to be shooting at.

Perhaps a simple pop up screen which says "Shoot the red guys dammit" would get the point across.

How mal-odeerous. Sad-Sacks style at twice the font size. Much obliged.

snafu - Yeah, the swear filter is a little sensitive. Got a mute warning for typing 'cockpit'. In a purely decent context, too. ;)

Well, Dowding, you shouldn't be talking about playing with your joystick in someone else's cockpit...     :D
