Some programs don't like the AH screen shots, while others do. I can open them fine in
IRfanview or Paint Shop Pro. Editing is a bit of a pain but not entirely horrid; just the limits of the image format. Try using an evaluation copy of Paint Shop Pro 6.02 or 7.02 and you'll be able to open them fine. Irfanview will convert them to another format, resize them, or do some really basic effects. It's nothing terribly staggering, but it's a handy small program. You can use an old trick with it too. Open a file, then turn right around and save it as the same file type and name. That should unstop your PHP glitch.
