Cougar profiles
« on: December 25, 2002, 03:00:36 PM »
I've made some minor updates to my Cougar profiles for Aces High and Warbirds III and also created a profile for IL-2 (did'nt like the default one much) Main difference is the use of the THR_RANGE command to compress the analogue output of the throttle into a smaller physical area of the throttle movement. This allows for much easier addition of digital commands to be mixed with analogue input's such as putting WEP onto the throttle which before meant a mish mash of LOCK and UNLOCK commands. You will have to manually calibrate your Cougar once if you have not done so since your last flash upgrade in the HOTAS Cougar CCP program but this is a simple task. Simply follow the link as shown in the diagram below to go to your HOTAS Cougar CCP:

When in the HOTAS Cougar CCP program click the button show below and follow the steps moving your controls as prompted:

You need to have version 2.02 Cougar drivers and have Foxy version 3 installed. If you do not delete the lines or 'rem' them out as shown in the accompanying readme file with each of the profiles. Please read the instructions!

As usual you can download two versions of each profile, one with a graphical overlay and a smaller version without the graphical overlay. You can grab the files at the following locations:

Cougar profile for Aces High with graphical overlay (303k)
Cougar profile for Aces High without graphical overlay (6k)

Cougar profile for Warbirds III with graphical overlay (265k)
Cougar profile for Warbirds III without graphical overlay (5k)

Cougar profile for IL-2 Sturmovik with graphical overlay (261k)
Cougar profile for IL-2 Sturmovik without graphical overlay (4k)

Thanks Revvin. As usual you have a pretty nice setup with your Cougar profiles.

Thanks Reschke hope you find them useful, I'm working on a few more profiles at the moment for World War II Online (done but just needs testing as the documentation for WW2OL is awful), Fighter Ace 3.5 and Flanker 2.5
