Ann Coulter criticizes GW

… Bush praised the "seven principles" of Kwanzaa, "known as Nguzo Saba," and discussed the "early harvest gatherings called 'matunda ya kwanza,' or first fruits."

He included the usual claptrap about how Kwanzaa celebrates "traditional African values" and "uniting people of diverse backgrounds and beliefs."

It is a fact that a black radical FBI stooge, Ron Karenga, aka Dr. Maulana Karenga, invented Kwanzaa in 1966. Karenga was a founder of United Slaves, a violent nationalist rival to the Black Panthers and a dupe of the FBI."

seems odd to me that the very activists who complain that they aren't treated the same as everyone else- because of race- have invented a holiday to point out that they are a different race.

blacks are not excluded or unwelcome at Christmas.  or if not Christian theres honaka or ramadan (sp?/sp?).

or maybe they are not religious at all?  though white athiests don't really have a separate winter holiday.  I supose they could invent one but why bother.

it all seems kind of silly to me.  but It doesn't hurt me in the least so who cares.  let anyone who wants to celebrate kwanza go right ahead.

hell, they can celibrate Dr. Seuss day for all I care.  ...hey, I might even join in on that one.

I think GWB isn't far-right enough for Coulter, but that should have been obvious.

or unhijack christmas back to the non-christian holiday it originally was before some glassy eyed converted roman got ahold of christianity and forced it down our ancestors' throats.

as far as kwanza goes- i have trouble wanting to know anything about african culture or customs. pretty much every country in sub-saharan africa is a violent barbaric wasteland run by warlords where hiv/aids and famine are rampant. and yes i know- it all is the fault of mean white colonizers etc etc - man, i probably will be hearing that excuse when i am 80 still.....

why would i want to celebrate anything about africa? it's pathetic that american blacks are looking back to this nonsense instead of just being americans. half the reason some people don't accept them is this kind of crap.

it just looks stupid to see all these people from detroit walking around in colored robes and tribal gear, renaming themselves mohammed m'kazay click click or whatever- you don't see me walking around in viking horns and fur - i mean come on get over it.

Right.  I've always had the same problem with St. Patrick's Day.

Kwanzaa has nothing to do with African culture.  It is an invention of American politics.  The Lucky Charms leprachaun has more to do with Irish culture than Kwanzaa has to do with African culture.

Kwaanza... geez. "We need something else to say we are being oppressed about... Chtisrtmas that's it ya!   Christmas is an "all white" holiday.  The white man is keeping us down by celebrating Christmas!  We need to invent a holiday for us, then shove it down white America's throat.  Anyone who derides us for creating this false holiday will be labled a racist.  We already got them to fold under the same pressure for things like Black miss America, Black history month, blck city councils, black student councils, black entertainment network, and a host of other rediculous venues. If they buy this kwaanza crap we are only a few steps away from setting up our own government and declaring a Black United States!  After we get those handsomehunkes to pay reparations to us for things their ancestors did hundreds of years ago, we'll have enough to declare our government...they won't dare oppose us for fear of being labled as politically incorrect.  We can then declare it it illegal to be white and that all white people must pay a "pale skin" tax. Muhahahahah, white people or so stupid!"

st patty's day is one day per year, it's not a way of life, unless you're SOB

a guy of irish lineage doesn't sit around squeaking and moaning about how his people were treated when they fled here from the potato famine, they worked hard, took care of their own and 'earned' the respect of others.

we made laws against the chinese in california and were extremely cruel to them and they didn't give a tinker's damn,  they just stayed in their neighborhood and kept doing their thing until we all found a way to get along naturally- they do just fine where i live and live side by side with everyone with no problems-  without any public programs or chinese al sharpton's on tv crying about some crap from 100 years ago.

earned it- earned it - earned it you see what i mean?

also if some mic-american was born sean jones he's not going to dress like a leprechaun and changes his name to seamus o'smittery and walk around greeting everyone in gaelic just to prove a point.

i don't mind st patty's day or chinese new year or any of another host of ethnic holiday's because they originated in the realm of those ethnicities and caught on outdside of those neighborhoods for all kinds of reasons, naturally- they weren't falsely created and hoisted on the public with a threat of temper tantrum if we didn't accept and love them.

kwanza is just a joke-assed holiday for bitter blacks that want something to cry about.
