Al Jazeera to be online in English language in 2003

This is surprising (to me). Described as a "take no prisoners" type of journalism, Al Jazeera is not especially welcomed or loved in the middle east - I wonder if the enemy of our enemy (in a manner of speaking) might end up being our friend?

You will soon be able to read it every day.

Ra - You have chosen the name of the Egyptian Sun God. I'm surprised that your powers don't include something we westerners call r-e-a-d-i-n-g.  :p.  Its in the link.

Since it began broadcasting in 1996, Al Jazeera has brought unprecedented Arabic-language journalistic scrutiny to the regimes of the Middle East.

Seriously, this development has a lot of potential, don't you think?

Time will tell... the truth is the first casualty of war... but this is something we haven't seen yet.
