• The F4u-1C finished with a k/d ratio of 1.44:1 vs fighters.  The Typhoon took second with a 1.24:1 ratio.  What planes took 3rd, 4th and 5th? Hint.. their ratios were 1.21:1, 1.10:1 and 1.09:1 respectively)
  
  
• Of all fighters, one fighter stood out by only having a k/d greater (or equal) than 1:1 against only one other fighter.  Wich fighter was it?
• One fighter won the "I owned you squeak" award for its dominance over another by racking up 17 kills to only 2 deaths.  What fighter dominated.. and wich one was the squeak?

Deja, well let's look at the 190A8  .

The Fw 190A-8 has 2998 kills and has been killed 2300 times. K/D: 1.3 + 698 kills

9./JG 54 "Grünherz" flying the 190A8:
1121 kills, 450 deaths
K/D: 2.49 + 671 kills
Percentage of kills: 37%
Percentage of deaths: 19.6%

Subtracting 9./JG54 kills and deaths:
1877 kills, 1850 deaths K/D: 1.01 + 27 kills

Modified for fighters only:
2182 kills, 1807 deaths, K/D: 1.21 + 375

9./JG 54 kills/deaths:
877 kills 365 deaths K/D 2.4 + 512
Percentage kills: 40%
Percentage deaths: 19.7%

Subtracting 9./JG 54 kills/deaths:
1305 kills, 1442 deaths K/D 0.90 - 137

Conclusion: the reason for the 190A8's apparent success is 7-8 dedicated 190A8 pilots in one squad, and a few lone wolfers.

No seriously, I just thought the 190A8 kill/death ration should be explained. Most of the pilots in 9./JG 54 has converted to the 190A8 and that is one of the explanations to the success.

Nothing to do with big heads.

Kirin, Maik, Glunz, Nath are GREAT 190A8 pilots. It's nodd odd that the stats should reflect it.

I remember seeing the G2 or G6 having a k/d of 1.2:1 one tour.  It had something like 600 kills and 500 deaths.  Aper had 450 kills in it with only 100 deaths.  Now THAT'S skewing the stats.

The Typhoon IB has 6016 kills and has been killed 4647 times, this is tour 10.

Now what i cant figure out, whos flying the Tiffy other than me, Manedew, Drex ?

I see few if any Tiffys up, and would like to see more up.

Well I flew it abunch, but I can only account for 30 or so kills.

I flew the typhoon once or twice, but I can only account for one or two deaths, dont think I killed anybody in it. I am the typhoons worse advertisment. LOL

I was using the tiffie for Jabo quite a bit.  (That is until I rediscovered the p47d25.   )  If I wasn't always flying it at 10k I'm sure I could have had a MUCH higher K/d.  Those HS, though not of Hog C quality, are just deadly.

I was impressed with the p47D25 in JABO roll. I took one out with 2-1000lbs, 1-500ld and 6 rockets. I took out a single FH in 1 dive hittin backspace the whole time trying to drop everything.

Have also had fun with D30 for de-acking. Tiffies fun to for JABO but cant take the hits like the Jug does..

Tour 10: Vulcan has 212 kills and has been killed 67 times in the Typhoon IB.

And started my effort for 11: Vulcan has 8 kills and has been killed 2 times in the Typhoon IB.

Including smacking that cheap ack-running hawg flying dweeb Nash last night
