Actually, though we lost, it wasn't because the Lavochkins couldn't put out. I was able to stay on top most of the time until superior numbers forced me down. In fact, on initial merge both the La5FN & La7 were able to get equal or better alt on reversal, than the 109G-6 and 190D-9, respectively, and all while at 15k.
No, the reason we lost was because, overall, 9./JG54 were the better pilots, the better team. Thanks for the duel
