I recently purchased CFS3, My first impressions were not good.

While I dont have the best video card (Geforce 2), I still get decent game play. Aircraft flight models are way different to Aces High and IL-2 aircraft. Effects are nice, except the tracers are weak! they look like Sega Afterburner! In my oppionion IL-2 is a far superior game to CFS3 in Visuals.

The CFS3 Campaign is the only thing its got going for it..and the fact that it can be modded. Hopefully the game will get better in a few months, or it's just being put away.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Tried CFS3, it's a POS game IMO.

Had realism on full and could keep stick in stomache all the time, stalls didn't exist for me.

Its point based with some strategy involved...

Prestige
Skill
and one more

these all help with relocating your squadron, getting new aircraft, and launching ground offensives. They also increase your pilots eye-sight, G-strength, and general health. You click on the frontline and it gives you list of missions. Sink some ships, attack some airbase, escort, fighter sweep, intercept. By keeping your country bomb free your industrial strength rises allowing invasions.

(This is what I would like the Mission theatre to be, except for pilot health points and launching ground offensives)

what makes me angry is that there are no B17's, B24's... the heaviest bomber there is the B26. Wingman commands are sorry. Very basic compared to IL2 or even EAW.

Sirloin how bout New years day for that TCP/IP game? Email me...

CF3 is basically CF2 where they removed even more of the socalled FM. It's gotten bad reviews almost universally for its lack of a flight model.

If their combat simulator is so lame, I'm beginning to doubt the accuracy of the FS series, although that might be taking it too far.

How bout 4 EST?

I say this time we have a fairly decent sized battle how bout 800 points? I think we should play Random Nationality, and you can choose Axis or Allied.
