Please adjust the ENY values.  There have been 2 version releases without the ENY values being updated.

The one that's always struck me as odd is the P-47D-11 at 18 envy. I'm wondering if this is an "oops" of some sort as it doesn't seem to be a plane that's on par with the likes of the D-9's, 51's or F4ud's. Not too say its a bad ride at all as the Jug is quite nice here. That just seems a touch low though when compared to other planes of similar ilk.

I'd have to concur that that Spit V is a bit high too. I've only flown it a couple times so I'm not the best judge here. As furballers go though, it seems to be the best of the bunch. Methinks even with an envy rate cut down to 20 or so, it would still see a lot of use. I'd put it at least on the same level as the F6 as they're in the same ballpark.

The 262 should probably have an envy of 1...heh, except when I'm flying it, then make it 100. I can't hit a darn thing with that race horse :).

Oh, and what do the "Obj" values indicate anyway?

Vortex,

The P-47D-11's ENY was set when the version that introduced it, 1.07, was released.  The Ki-61 also has an ENY of 18 from that release.  I doubt those two aircraft see 8000 sorties combined in a single tour and wouldn't be surprised if they totaled less than 4000 sorties.

OBJ determines how many perk points you get for destroying objects on the ground (not vehicles).  I don't thing that the Mossie should win you 2.5 times as many points as a P-38, Fw190F-8 or Spitfire MkIX for ground strikes.

In considering arena dominance, you need to look at K/D as well.
Spit V and Seafire II should have the same ENY value.  The usage of the Seafire will vary considerable from tour to tour according to which map we get stuck on for weeks.
Also don't forget ground kills.  A2G birds like the mossie will have poor K/D ratios because people use them as fighters, or because they're attacking fields a lot.  The same goes for the p47.  If they're ain't mud on it, it ain't a jug.
Anyway, it's clear that the La7 and the Dora need to be perked.  If that happened, you'd see more La5 drivers -- which doesn't have too low an ENY value, its pilots simply prefer the La7.

The G10 needs to go about 18 pps.  The zeke is fine at 25 -- I see a lot of them on base defense, so you'd expect them to have a poor K/D showing.

The IIc probably shouldn't be touched as far as ENY rating goes.  The IId is ground-attack plane.  THe problem with it is that its guns can't penetrate armor, while the armor's guns can knock it out of the sky.

Ki-61 should be boosted a bit.
The 205 doesn't need to be touched.  Check out the K/d ratio.

"Just out of curiosity, how do these K/Ds reflect the real WWII experience?"

That is impossible to compare as you do not have the same environment or combat conditions in any arena, anywhere that real WWII pilots faced.

A few relatively unused planes have better K/Ds than they truly should because a few good pilots fly them a lot, and therefore a high percentage of their (the planes) kills are achieved by a few good pilots that boost the overall K/D of thegiven plane more-so than more popular planes.
I.E. if Fester decided to make the 202 his main ride, the K/D of the 202 would be disproportional to its true capabilities.

Sure eskimo, but the only non-perk plane that could conceivably fall into the "relatively unused" category that has a K/D significantly over 1 is the H2c

ENY values should be altered..

To encourage diversity in the MA, raise the less-used aircraft's ENY a small bit and lower the overused aircraft a tad.  Couldn't hurt to try something different.  You wont know the exact effect unless we try it =]

I love flying earlier models in AH.  It really makes ya feel good when ya cap a P51D or La7 with a c202 :D
