Outlook XP Help
« Reply #15 on: December 31, 2002, 10:22:43 AM »
I think your on the right track. I went there on the computer that the Outlook resides on (XP)  and no files  are currently being shared and open, so there is nothing to disconect.  The PC the file resides on is currently an win ME box. ahh you know what.. I've not tried moving it at the dos level.

But anyway... its not unlocked with the Computer manager because its not listed as a file that is locked.  That probably would have worked had I not rebooted all the PC involved already.

How do I do it from a command line or from the PC (WinME) that the file is residing on?

HOLLY COW CRUD  ITS WORKING... ITS WORKING

I have no Idea what just solved that!  As i was writting this the file server was OFF.  I disconnected all files even tho there was no files in the list....

Turned on other PC... and BAM I have my data back!

Amazing....

Wish I knew what got it....
THANKS ALL

The computer manager trick would have to be done on the file server, not the client machine.

Does winMe have a command shell ?

glad to hear everything worked out fine.
