If 2 experienced & equal pilots flew equal planes in a dogfight, 1 had rudder control & the other didnt. The fight would not go more than 2-4 turns.
Much like rudder adds more control, so do flaps & trim. When I started understanding flaps I started using them more, & my abilities increased. Then (coincidently) I started flying faster in MA, this led to compression, which led to a need for learning trim.
Throttle manipulation is also critical, a pilot using throttle in turns will out turn same plane going full throttle all the time.
In short the game is very detailed & the more you undersatnd & utilize--- the better pilot you will be.
