Got a prob with me Cougar.

The throttle's slow.

It's nothing to do in any way with programming or profiles; because even if I uninstall all the software I can find (Windows excepted) the same problem is exhibited.

Slam the throttle from 0 % to 100 %; twenty seconds later you get full throttle.

Slam the throttle from 100% to 0 %

twenty seconds later you get 20 % throttle.

As I said before, I'm convinced this is not a Foxy/control panel issue as this happens even with a fresh uninstall - reboot - install - reboot - test cycle; but I'm happy to be wrong if I get the right answer.

I've never dealt with pots before, where do I start with this sort of hard ware input problem?

Have you checked the Hardware forum over at Cougar World? If not someone else might have seen this before and have a solution.

Just my guess is that the pots are in need of cleaning. If so just pop open the base of the throttle and have a look at them.

I just checked the message boards at Cougar World and I see other posts similar to yours about slow response of the throttle. Your best bet may be to post there about the problem. I would suggest the Cougar Hardware/Firmware issues. You can find it here:

Seeker> I had a similar problem with my throttle although generally 80% of the htrottle worked at normal speed the last 20% moved very slowly, although it was only around 4 seconds to go from 80-100%. I posted on Cougar World and James Hallows thought it was a pot problem. I spoke with the good people at RC Simulations who are often visited by James and they seemed to think it was electronics not the pot. Luckily RC Simulations is a 35 mile drive from my home and they took it back no quibbles at all and gave me an immediate exchange. Was well worth the visit actually as it was the day before their show at Birmingham and they showed me round the stuff they were taking. Was great to know I'm buying from a company run by people so pationate about what they sell.
