One thing you have to have this time of year....a solid running game. I think the Jets or the Titans will represent the AFC. Good luck to the Raiders though, being a Patriots fan I don't want to hear them whining about the snow game anymore:p

That's funny you say that because when those two teams played the Raiders... their running games got stuffed.  I think they had about 50 yards rushing between them.
And the Raiders are coming off a 280 yard rushing game.  :)

The Titans didn't put up the big numbers in the rushing game because they were down so early.  I also must point out that on two of those punt returns for touchdowns against the Titans there was BLATENT blocking in the back that didn't get called.  The Titans were forced to go to the air with a QB that didn't have his confidence up.  Not to mention our D hadn't gotten together yet.

Oakland and TN will face each other in the AFC Championship game, but it will be a different Titans team that will come out of the black hole with a win.  :D

2.7 yards per carry.  :)
And our D hadn't gotten together yet either.  :)

I'm a big fan of Farve too. But it should't be a popularity pole. If you cant win it with the numbers that Gannon has put up..how do you win it?
Hes not as warm a guy...but he got it done.

Most Valuable Player.  IMO a guy gets the award for carrying his team on his shoulders.  I don't think Gannon carried the Raiders.  He has a great supporting cast.  Whereas guys like McNair, Favre and Vick (even though I hate to say it) put their teams on their shoulders and willed them to win.

Take Gannon out of the lineup and your backup is playing pitch and catch w/Garner, Rice and Brown.  Take any of the other guys out and their team is in trouble.

Yep.  Take Gannon out and you have the pre 1999 Raiders.  Anybody remember Donald Hollas?

I've watched the Raiders plenty this season.  Gannon throws the ball really well.  I still believe that there success is mostly due to the receivers.  That's just my opinion though.

What would happen if Favre and Gannon had switched teams then week 1?

Gannon goes MVP still? With that depleted line and new receiving corps?

Think real hard about that.

(i think I saw all the games this year btw)

He doesn't just throw the ball.  He runs the offense.  Both the head coach and the offensive coordinator have admitted that Rich knows the offensive scheme better than they do.

Don't get me wrong, Gannon has some drawbacks, and I have yelled at him (or his TV image) many times.

I think Favre has the best QB skills of anybody as far as throwing and moving.  But Gannon simply makes better decisions.  The INT stats tell the story.

I think a lot of QB's could have led the Pack pretty far considering their weak schedule.

Funny thing is I'm a closet Favre fan.  But if Creamo likes him then he sucks!
