?s about Making New Fleets
« on: January 02, 2003, 03:02:00 AM »
I've got a few questions so far about making non-standard fleet groups.  Seeings how somebody did this on the Sicily map, I figured there might be some info in here but a search turned up nothing.  So here we go...

1.  2 CAs Take Different Amounts of Damage
I took a standard CVTG1 group, deleted the CV, and added a 2nd CA in its place.  The new CA takes over the FxxSHP000 designation in the group.  Both CAs have identical object properties except for designation:  both are a "ship" and both have the same hardness of -1.  But in combat, the original CA is destroyed by only 3-4 8" shells, while the new CA requires about a dozen hits.  It appears that the new CA has inheirited the CV's extra toughness.  Is there a way to make both of them have the same toughness?  To be honest, I'd rather them both have the higher toughness ;)

2.  Inconvenient "Tower" POV on CA
When you go to the "tower" of a fleet constructed as above, your POV is on the port bow of the new CA, just behind a 20mm gun.  From there, your view is largely blocked by the forward main turrets and bridge structure.  Is there a way to move the POV up to the bridge of the ship?  If so, what object controls the position of the player's in-tower POV?

Thanks
