Confused about views when capturing
« on: January 04, 2003, 05:19:04 PM »
I need some help. I think it's correct to capture a film sequence (to change the views) with the "ignore recorded views" button pressed. When I try and capture views without  the "ignore recorded views" button pressed, the views jump around during capture.

When I try to replay an edited film without the "ignore recorded views" button pressed it seems to give me a garbled combination of previous and newly edited view combinations. When I try and replay with the "ignore recorded views" button pressed I don't get the view changes.

Can anyone give me the procedure?
Thanks.

It's almost as if the view results are backwards when I review the edited results of a film.  When changing the views to look down the result is looking up instead on playback. I'm told I need XP for the viewer to work properly. Is this true?
Thanks.

You almost answered your own question

If you do not check off "ignore saved views" then what you are seeing is exactly what you did during that flight..if you viewed outside, panned, etc.

What you should do, once you load the film, is Ignore the Saved views and then figure out what parts of the flight you want to captue and make into an AVI

Aces High lacks a neat "flyby" view (which I would LOVE).  I've been doing a lot of panning and zooming...althought my PC beeps and chirps like mad through the entire zoom/pan process
