The WW2 Fighter Gun Effectiveness article on my website has now been revamped and extended with input from Emmanuel Gustin, to include comparisons between the effectiveness of the armament of typical WW2 fighters.  See: http://www.quarry.nildram.co.uk/WW2guneffect.htm

Thanks, good information.

PS: I get some minor layout problems with table 3. I need to adjust my window size in order for it to display correctly or else it looks like the below.

Hi Snefens,

>PS: I get some minor layout problems with table 3. I need to adjust my window size in order for it to display correctly or else it looks like the below.

The reason is that Tony formated the table with the space bar :-)

Tony, you' need to generate a line break in your web editor to separate the two weapon options. If the enter key doesn't do the job, I'd just hack away at the keyboard with shift-enter, ctrl-enter etc. It's bound to be there, somwhere :-)

The resulting table should look nice on any browser, regardless of font size and window width.

Henning (HoHun)

OK, I'll take a look at that. The reason I didn't use the line break key is that it put a double line spacing in, which spread the table out a lot. I have a rather simple web editor!

If you use
 instead of

it shouldn't make the extra line space

I hope those come out right.

Terrific article.  I haven't seen a better study on the subject.

Punt

Funny how this board ignores thoughtful and intelligent posts.
