Friggin Server Burps are getting tiresome

For oh about the 10th time in the past 2 days the MA is having MAJOR text lag, along with it comes the fact that you cant shoot down a damn thing.  Seems to almost always happen when the main has over 500 people.

I logged off when I couldnt move from one field to another and when I tried to log back in it say the main arena is closed. This is occuring just as the scores are parsed or sorted or what have you so maybe that needs to be looked at?

I've been having alot of problems with 'lost udp' and lag lately. Sent HTC a messege after losing some perk planes, never heard anything back.
I'm on DSL and don't have problems with anything else, just AH. Funny thing is it happens pretty frequently now, when it used to never happen.
I've also noticed that when the numbers are high in the arena its more frequent, but it happens when they are lower ( in the 200-300 range) also.

I'm wondering if the server numbers are accurate if you account the number of bomber formations in the air. If there are 500 fighter pilots on, and even 50 bomber formations in the air could the total number of 650 objects flying be causing the problems? Just thinking maybe the server is bumping it's head on the ceiling.

Last night about 11:30 our squad flew under dar for 40 Minutes, only to arrive at the base to open fire, and we could not understand why nothing would blow up.

Then we realized what was happening.

When the server caught up, half the planes exploded from hits they took 6 minutes prior, and we had wasted a tone of fuel and ammo, not knowing what had been hit and what wan't.

This was my last flight of the night, and it left a very bad taste in my mouth for AH.

Now, the arena numbers were well over 500 at the time, and one of the squaddies was checking the net status as we were circling the field. He said it was a straight, flat line, whatever that means.

Very frustrating.

Whats going on HT?

same for us.
we attacked a CV, made hits but all was quiet until minutes later when we all started taking hits (made me maneuver at first) and some died, then the CV sank..
like 5 minutes later after we'd all been furring following the drop.

I wonder if this sort of thing led to the belief that there were invisible planes flying around.

I guess its a good thing Panzers are slow and have a lot of ammo and armour.  GVs are impervious to lag-kills. :)

It would be nice to hear from HT on this one. A simple, 'We realize there is a problem and are working on it" would be good.

Just curious, how do you know this? When are scores parsed or sorted?

Yet no one has posted ping plotter results....

Just blame HTC.  It's easier I guess.

Last night scores were updating about three minutes after the hour. The server nearly choked and puked at three minutes after the hour.
