Instead, how about tracking down some of the bugs/features that frustrate so many of us?

1. Field captures occurring when the town is mostly up. I've seen this at least a half-dozen times.

2. Tanks are tough critters. Trees, rocks and buildings shouldn't damage tanks.

3. The new net smoothing code has a habit of smoothing a guy out of existence! You can be d300 on a guy and he'll just disappear. Frequently, in a few seconds, he'll reappear, albeit off to the side or perhaps he's even split S and then he's behind you.

4. PT boats die when touching the shoreline. Maybe this makes sense if you're going 40mph, but at an idle?

5. We really need some new maps.

6. The cockpits on many of the planes are really bad. The 190A5 comes to mind. I imagine there are other planes equally in need of updated cockpits.

I would glad give up all new planes and upcoming features to AH for an entire year if you would resolve the above issues.

Curly even when i agree with the mentioned bug fixes / improvements i totally disagree with ur "No new planes" statement cause i love new planes / vehicles. It the most important part of AH.

Sure Duedel, I like new stuff too. Let me ask you this.

If you had to choose between 1) keeping the current plane set and 3 new maps and 2) keeping the same maps, but adding 2-3 new planes, which would you choose?

I remember posting a plaintive whine like this 6 or 8 months ago. And SuperFly answered by saying: "Why choose one or the other when you can have both?" Well, the only "new" map we have is AKDesert and the bugs/features are still there (buggy smoothing code is new).

We still have the bug in the Baltic map [northeast and southeast HQs both have a VH which spawns to HQ while the northwest HQ has a vehicle hangar with a PT boat spawn point to it -- check the color of the spawn point]

Oh, I forgot to mention the HQ bug. God help you if you lose less than 100% of HQ. You can restore your city and HQ to 100%, but it will NOT come back up. OTOH, if you lose 100% of HQ, you can quickly restore HQ.

well, speaking from the armor crewman point of view. rocks and stumps are a problem. they dont hurt the tank. but they hurt your teeth and face. ive knocked over trees but at very slow speed. and at great expence to the u.s. tax payer as far as manuver damage goes. the question of will a tank run over something is- how much does it weight?(gross weight of tank or other APC) and how fast is it moving?and whats the torqe at that speed (whatever the speed/ torqe ratio)all vehicles have a horsepower-torqe ratio. if you (very)slowly bump a tree, then go full power, it will go down. but if you are going 45mph and hit a tree it will hurt and not only the tree trust me on that.

I agree Curly. Maps and bug fixes are on top. But i really think HTC has enough employees to fullfill both (to add new planes/ new maps) so ... I'm asking me (or HTC) why we dont have new maps? It must be that to make a big map needs an awefull amount of time!

Curly I agree. Temporarily stealth aircraft a problem. I would also enjoy seeing new maps.

Eye candy is great, and updating all cockpit art would be super.

The aircraft will come......how many can you fly at one time anyway?

If AH is like other games, we wouldn't have to chose - these things do not all require time of the same person.

Agree, Curly.

More maps topping my list.

Fix the terrain too. Make some changes. Hell, if Amateurs can do it in the CT...(NO offence), why can't HTC put together at least 2 new maps?

The game is great as it is, but why not make it clean and smooth before adding more vehicles?

I love new A/C, but this is more important to me.

We in the AH community are spoiled. Think about it. How often do/did other on line fligth sims roll out new planes? Once a year? Once in 3 years? NEVER?

Still, if we went this route, what would superfly do?

Yes, yes, new maps! That is worth a lot more than adding new aircraft.

Of course I don’t fly but a handful of rides now anyway but I do like to shoot at pretty new targets but weighing them both, I’ll take new terrain
