Oh yea, everyone be careful not to make HTC mad by demanding things like the pay-for-play server actually function properly...
Seriously, if there's ever been a legit "demand" an online player can make of the game company, it's that the server doesn't crap itself to death every night. As they have been fairly scarce from the forums lately I suspect the HTC crew is working hard on the problem, but you've gotta be blind to not see the dozens of "server porked" posts springing up here, in the internet connection forum, and the bug reports forum over the last couple of weeks. And all those reports have been met with....
Silence
Any other company would get ripped on badly for that sort of thing, just look at the noise made when the everquest servers choke. I'm pretty sure HTC knows about it and is working very hard to fix any problems, but their customers seem to be remarkably patient about the whole thing, especially since the main reason to pay is to play in the arenas.
HTC's silence on the issue doesn't suprise me since that's how they deal with pretty much every problem in the game, but maybe it's a little much to expect paying customers to hold their tongues when the server they're paying to play on croaks. In my job, if I disappoint my "paying customers" (my students and their respective host nation's representatives), you can bet I'll hear about it. It doesn't mean I have to like it especially when I have already put forward my best effort, but failing to perform up to standards doesn't grant immunity from critique regardless of what job you have.
Of course, if someone gripes that my H2H host croaks, they can go pound sand 'cause that's ISP charges and electricity out of my on pocket that they're using for free

Funny thing, nobody's seriously complained about it except for maybe ike2k, and even he shows up and plays in there...
