LOL! that was a fun ride... I was inna F6F running defense off the CV at a19 when this started.. and I'd been "regurged' on the previos sotrie; so I went back 'lookin' fer that 190. He B&Z's away merrily, knockin a few more bish down while I tagged along d1.5 behind in the reverses; out to D3 on his dives.. never could close him up.. fargin F6F ain't got no leggs.
Whups.. the 190 makes a slight bo-bo.. while cutting inside a bish evading him, he got close enuff for me to latch on and as he extended away I started 'sniping'. Brief bursts, hoping the pings would get that damn 190 to turn, or at least make something important fall off..
He gets out to d1.1 on my FE, sometimes I get him down to 800 yards.. and tap him again.

I keep eyballing the map and the gas guage... looks like one of us will be swimmin back.

I know I've done serious dmage.. I figure I've nailed the rudder and the elevator at least, mebbe wounded the pilot. I continue the pursuit.
Ahha.. help arrives.. a lone F4, he sweeps in fast for a tail shot; I do a rollaway, and let him roar by; toss a few rounds his way and continue after the 190... and lo and behold; the 190 is reversing! I think "Hey.. he was off fscott-free, and came back to help the f4.. a shame ta kill this guy.." He's got scrap metal fer a plane and came back to support the f4.. <S!>
I get to him a mite late in is sluggish reversal and the f4's close on behind me.. I get to guns range with the 190 and find he's lined up for a HO, so I jink away; fend off another attack from the F4 and get back on the 190 just in time to see him bail.
The f4 grabbs away on another zoom, and he types... "LOL I ain't gonna dogfight ya hang" and heads on back towards a19. "sheeseh.. now I get ta chase this one all the way BACK.."
Then the fates intervene; my radial coughs and dies... and while gliding down for the ditch the F4 comes back fer another pass.. win one; lose one. Just another day in the MA.

Nice flyin Regurge, I was cursin' my poor grumman fer a pony the whole time you were B&Z'ng the defenders at 19.. very smooth flying, and was a wonderful demonstration on the formidable lethality of a 190 at the top of it's speed curve in competent hands. <S!>
