lets make it so rather than instantly warping from base a to base b we have to pay 2 perks to take the train or fly there...

naturally this is just to get some colourfull (why do we always say that isnt it being racist to colourfull people

) response...

So a new user with zero perks logs on for the first time and finds themselves at a field DEEP in friendly territory. You're saying they have to fly from field to field just to get to the action? I dont think that would fly too well.

actually this would encourage furballs massivly. people wouldn't wanna spend those 1.5 perkies they just earned flying their spits, la7's and nik2's....
they'd just stay @ the same base.

imagine the horror of all the pilots for 1 country unwilling to spend perks after logging on and all in spits, la7's and nik2's.... oops it's like that after each reset LOLOL

And if you're in a mission its free to transport you, because the costs are picked up by the country to take you around, but to post a mission with certain planes it costs Mission Perkies, i.e. a NIK mission would need a 20 perkie investment :-), meanwhile a f4u-1 mission would be free of charge to all those who joined. You get mission perkies by joining a mission, or succesfully launching a mission.

I like the idea of having to move from field by playing it. But I think it doesn't work in this environment.

What happens if you're at a field that is out of action? What happens, if you die? What happens if the field you took off from last get's captured? (assuming that you take off there again after death) Do you change countries by landing at on of their fields?

Might be fun in a scenario maybe.

Although AH is a WWII Flight sim it seems it is evolving into ground and sea as well.

Instead "taking the train" why not take a supply train from one base to another, much like a goony bird run or the M-3. Crewing the AA abord the train, taking needed supplies, or even invadeing a enemy base via the train would gain a player points.

Just an idea thrown out to the wolves, I will go back to my cave now.
