http://www.enginehistory.org/It is operated by the Aircraft Engine Historical Society and you will see contributions by many of the big writers in this field.
The organization has been around about 6 months. The page contains a wealth of information on development and performance of (mostly American) aircraft engines. Hopefully its coverage will just get better.
