A New Look at CFS3
« on: January 16, 2003, 07:30:42 AM »
I read on SimHq's site that some 1% planes for cfs3 are avail. for dowload allready:

http://www.simhq.com/simhq3/sims/boards/bbs/Forum82/HTML/000409.html

I have heard many good things about these models and I am thinking that this addition would make CFS3 very attractive to fly.  I guess I'm looking for someone who's flown the 1% models and can verify this......

28, I'm actually enjoying CFS3 and its dynamic campaign, its not AH, but the fun factor is there. I like the ability to launch ground offensives, the flexible front (dependant on your success) ability to move your HQ to different area's to affect those areas, etc.  It runs smooth on my AMD 2100 but sometimes after long periods it gets alittle choppy over London itself.

Thanks for the link.

Flying wise it's a few notches below CF3. They've made it easier to the point where it is for me boring. From the 1% team:

Unfortunately, certain functionality as we knew it in CFS2, has been removed from CFS3. Whether we can produce the same high quality flight models remains to be seen.

MS in a nutshell.

OTOH, I start to wonder about these 1% guys:

Many of the better known developers were on the CFS3 test team and had the same access to the software that we did, thing is it takes a lot longer to develope a quality visual then it does a flight model - BEAR 1% Team

Longer time doing graphic models than flight models? Hm, seems like the FM must be pretty toned down.

uh oh...if they cant make the same "high quality models" as they had in fs2 im a little SCARED the models in cfs2 BLEW ARSE...maybe if they offered a very high paying job as modelers to superfly and natedog they could get some good models...
