This thread will probably get locked too.... but ...

In an off-topic forum, speculation and opinion are now forbidden. I was just posting my opinion and a bit of speculation in a civil and diplomatic manner on a given subject and the thread gets locked. If thats not being a tad over-zealous with the "admin" privledges, I don't know what is. (Except, maybe, banning me.... hehe. Which could occur observing the most recent chain of events.) I guess I am wrong to think that a diplomatic post would get better treatment than a rude, nasty, and obnoxious (sp?) post....

You are right Skuzzy, I do not know what transpired to lead up to the said events, I just posted what it looks like from an end-user point of view. I read through alot of the posts, and only see a user that was making problem reports and suggestions and not getting any response from the developers and over time getting more and more frustrated by that. And then finally getting banned because he was constantly nagging with stronger and stronger language.

I'm not trying to be antagonistic, (...well maybe a little...) but just trying to make the point that a disagreement or difference of opinion with HTC posted here should not be trounced by the moderators. If it's presented in a civil manner, then it should be responded to in a like manner, not just trounced. And when something happens on these boards, you have to expect follow up conversations about it. Locking the threads discussing it will just get people like me re-opening the subjects and more speculation.

Now look what you've done. You've made me write a book in a thread that will probably be locked after 2 posts......

Other people's bannings or removals ain't no one's bizness but their own and HTCs.

And threads about people who are no longer here will instantly be locked, if they aren't it would appear to outside users that threads talking about people who can't even read it will be tolerated by HTC. <-- that's bad business mojo.

Speculation and opinion are now forbidden? Since when? The rules have always been consistent- if you run your mouth after you've been advised to chill you get bounced. Dude, I come up with more offensive material in a week than just about anyone and I have NEVER been told to chill.

Continuing to goad Skuzzy into banning you so you can play the martyr is shallow and, the more you post, the more shallow you look. You need to stop.

So when someone get arrested for saying the President made a bad decision, it's no one's "bizness" but their own and the President's? If someone says, "that's not fair!", gets a gag put in their mouth, thats right, eh? [sarcasm]Boy, thats just how I want the world!![/sarcasm]

It's just the idea that expressing any "unauthorized" or "unpopular" opinion will get a user banned. It just kinda goes against my "grain".

Here's a better analogy:

If you go into a resturant and see someone get all upity because their food was cooked poorly and really laid into the manager- he would get thrown out.

If you follow suit and question the manager, he'll throw you out.

It's his business and he can run it how he sees fit.
