I was flying in the arena around version 1.1 I think. I remember the P-40 was one of the new birds.

Sure wish they would bring it here.

Moved to AH about a year ago.  :) Best move I ever made.

Moved to WB after the demise of Red Baron (was flying a Fokker when they pulled the plug on the server)  I think it was an early 1.0 version that I downloaded and flew.  I flew only in Green Land in the MA with the Flying Tigers (-fokr-, rekko, ugli et al)

Flew WB back in spring of '95..."Confirmed Kill" Beta. Did it for free for what seemed like 5-6 months, don't recall exactly. Averaged $150 per month bills when WB went pay-to-play until January 1998 when I moved from Pennsylvania to Mexico. Took 2.5 years off from flight sims waiting for an adequate connection down here, then joined AH in June 2000....wow. What strides were made in 2 1/2 years! And it's gettin' better all the time!      :D

Do you mean JG14 from the old days with Mo, Otto (Kommandant), saci, Jagr, etc, etc? We started with SWOTL stories..then found Hi-Tech starting an in-line flight sim Warbirds! He loved our SWOTL stories (Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe..on floppies) and asked us to join the Beta for Warbirds! We evolved for years till I had a stoke (complete mem loss) and just disappeared! No one knew what happened to me! It took 4 years of mem recovery but but then Jg14 Was just a ghost! Is it still going in some or manner or is the JG14 moniker just a coincidence..as opposed to the original? Danke Horrido! Otto Jg14

Yup...started DOA in the stone age and flew it until no one was in the arena...onerka.  Was a Pig Stomper.  Also in Armored Assault and sometimes main arena.  Came here with Mano and several other PS Piranha, Wolf, etc. when AH started a WWI arena.  No one in WWI now, and I am mostly in tanks or not in...looked for a long time for a recreation of the early fun in DOA, never found it.  Still go to the forum now and again to check on Sleepy and some who stayed behind.

Started playing WB in '97 and left when HiTech sold it to Wild Bill.  Played as ack-ch and flew with the squadron MOL.  Might have met a few of the old WB players that went to the '98 WB Con.
