Just a thought....but maybe you could limit the size of any one flight of aircraft to 10? Running into the Borg collective every week gets kind of tired.

Actually its sort of the Allied of Axis CiC's call. They can break up the larger squads into smaller groups with different objectives. Sikboy did that with the Nightmares tonight. He assigned us to be buffs and escorts and to have a diversionary flight of buffs and escorts.

It all comes down to the CiCs looking at what they have and asking the larger squads to do more than one thing. Or not.

Raub,

I'm sorry that you got mobbed like that, If you were part of the 109 squad that was hit eary, we expected jordi to send a large fighter sweep to cover the Malta Attack (hehe the Malta Attack :) )So our whole goal was to Head that Figther sweep off, then fight our way to A21 to engage CAP (where we knew that WE'd be the the ones getting ganged lol)

That's a big problem when planning, I knew what Jordi HAD to do (well, I had an idea) from my orders briefing, but I didn't know HOW he was going to do it.

I remember my first ToD, it was with your old unit, LuftJagerkorps... We got bounced by high Ki-61s in a flight of P-47's, I was dead within 10 minutes lol.

The FDB's Did an OUTSTANDING JOB Defending D21 !

Not sure what the ALLIED ORders were but ours were to hit the CONVOY first then  Malta if we had anything left over.

"Objective  Sink the aircraft carrier C60, your primary target is the carrier, but sink any allied vessel you encounter .

Objective  Protect D21 ."

I think the LW did both jobs very well !

No problem here Sik.

Just wanted to clarify the orders we got.

If there was a mix up or problem then the TOD CM's should be informed.

:)

CO's can also group smaller squads together under a common leader (kinda like they did in real life), to combat the humunga-squads.
