Welcome, Wire!  As guttboy said, there are people here from all walks of life - and parts of the world..... I work as a secretary in an office in England, and have been playing Aces High since April 2001, and before that in Air Warrior since July 1998.  :)

Check 6 and beware of aircraft flying towards your 12...it's been rumored that some folks will take a head-on shot at you, though I have no evidence of this ever happening to me....

Oh no another one... hehe Just messing Welcome Wire! My very first time in AH I joined someone as a gunner, and didn't shoot a single plane down (in a 2 hour period), but I thought it was the greatest thing ever... almost 2 years later I still do.

Wait till you really find out about the scenarios that are played, and the different type of "extras" that go along with the game. Atleast you knew about the BBS when you started. It took me 3 months before I even new this thing existed.

Wire - if you think the MA is good, check out the historical events that are run every weekend. My squadron would be happy to fly with you and show you the ropes. I guarantee you'll have a blast. :)

 Welcome to Aces High.  Lots of good people here, so just ignore the few bad attitudes.  If you stick around, find a squad that's good for you and join up.  :)

I got my first kill on my first sortie ever in AH.  Then I died like 20 times in a row before getting my next.  :D

Now I die just 5 times in a row before getting a kill.  ;)
