I flew two fighter sorties, shooting down everyone who came up (just 3 enemy showed up). Once again no losses.

Once, I built a great big battleship and sailed across the ocean, sinking 200 U-boats and an aircraft carrier.  Then I joined the army and killed Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin and Ho Chi Mihn before capturing Stalingrad and Chattanooga.  Twice.  After that, I invented ice cream.

Well I was "aware" of the limit,
but I can't say I changed much.

Finally managed to get almost a full hour in last night, didn't hit the limit.  In fact, to my surprise, I wasn't really even close.  Probably you do have to reduce it to 3 or 4 lives to see an effect.

2.  If so, what did you do after you hit the limit?
(and what happens/message did you get when you hit it)

N/A

3.  Did you alter your flying/playing style at all because of the imposed limit?  (if so, how)

No, I wanted to see what would happen if I flew like I usually do....

....well....now that I think about it....I did bail.  Twice.  Both times because I'd taken off from a field too far away from the battle, and wanted to get back quicker.  In the Traditional Oldman Style, I had no idea when I should pull the D-ring, so I became a wet sticky ball the first time, and lost any time advantage the second time by floating forever.

LOL I forgot that thing was turned on. Wasn't affected. I don't think it would actually affect anyone except the "fly till you die" type of gamer anyway, and those are rare in the CT.

edit: I agree with 4 being a more appropriate number. If a bomber pilot loses his flight of 3, he still has a chance to do something for the rest of the hour.

Nope, never hit it.  Even got reckless and tried to BnZ with a formation of Ju-88's even but couldn't get guns on anything and nobody wanted to play...

It would have to be 3 or 4 to have an effect.

Bomber pilots using three lives in a formation attack.......I SUGGEST NOT TAKING A FORMATION NEXT TIME.....DUH!

Use the two extra planes, use the two extra lives.

Please don't take offense but I think you missed my point Hawk.  I didn't loose three lives...  I finished a level bombing mission and then took the formation into a furball to see if could bring down a Spit with BnZ tactics using a formation.  (Thought it would be "braggable.")  I never hit a thing and none of Spits bothered with me either.  After about four tries I got tired of it and landed all three bombers.

My point was: I'm an average or below stick.  If 6 lives per hour were enough for me to screw around by bringing a formation into a furball, then 6 per hours is too generous.
