Yup, when an average pilot like me can get a 5.3 to 1 K/D ratio or better with an A/C, IMO, its guns or flight characteristics are over-modelled...but alas, theres hundreds out there that defend the 1C...because they *need* the 1C to do any good!

Bet Lazs would argue with me!

(P.S. I might add that this K/D ratio is with a hard ceiling of 20k. Seems tough to find a fight nowadays at co-alt, so if I'm alittle lower, then folks tend to engage.

Hehe Sour.. I wasn't picking on you.. i was just aiming at the most helpless looking aircraft on the field and going for it.... oh.. oooppps.... um... we'll i got a few others too sour!

IMHO the HogC isn't that uber. Its only uber if your like ripsnort and are willing to wait for a 20k climbout. THe big negative of this bird is it regains its alt poorly, we'll compared to my 205 anyway. Actually I'm way more effective in a 205. Climbs faster... acels faster.. slower top speed, supior TnB characteristics while retaining Boom n Zoom capabilities. and those 20 mm on it are just effective against AC. Tho it sucks against panzers, it can still deal with m16's. I think the hogc is so effective because of the people who fly it. Notice once you guys got some breathing room and some alt and we moved into more co-alt engagements you were wining the tide of battle... Hogs are only good in thier element... Dive attacks. I've found very few options in a HO co alt merge. if u evade.. then they are on your 6 permamently unless you have a friend to help ya out. Of course you can go HO and hope your 4 hispanos save ya.. but thats never a good option. One thing i really liked about fighting JG2 last night was your all smart flyers. When i was in trouble and new i was beat i would turn into you and fake the HO. Not once did i see a JG2 flyer take me on for a HO, they pulled out and avoided such a castrophic merge. of course they end up on my 6 just a few moments later

Swager... awesome chase yesterday on the deck... i think it was u... i was SCREAMING on RW for help... and u were GAINING on me... i tried every trick i could when u got within 400 of me. scissors.. rolling scissors... yo yo i think i tried one.. but it was a little flat... i even tried one of my newest tricks.. Cut the throttle and drop the gear... Worked on a niki i was in a dive with... going 400 straight down... droped the gear... the niki that WAS 120 behind be was suddenly 300 in front... and he made a beatiful LAWNDART. GRINS

Ahh enuf reminiscing. <S> jg2.. we must do that again before you come home to Knit land.

besides.. next to the p38.. there isn't a more targeted plane on the field for destruction than the Big Blue.

Me thinks that since JG2 and VMF323 will be flying approx. the same times(once you return), that this could be a bad dream for a Bish or Rook...

Warchild, in my above post said "Guns or FM"...in HogC's case, I think the guns are just a tad overmodeled, but then again, it makes up for its over-all FM.

I accepted one HO last night on a 190 that was flying with you folks. We both went down in flames but I got kill. ty.
