So HTC, when are we gonna get the T-34 Tank? We really need it for balance against the slew of German Tanks. Is it even on the list for the next release? Please Advise. Tks.

Would also be cool if we could carry our own troops on it as the Russians did on their's during WW2. Blast you way into town or onto a field and have your "Tank Riders" jump off and take it. Maybe only have the tanks able to carry 5 troops.

Only down side as they would be more exposed to fire than if they were in half tracks. Still a cool idea.

Better version would be up-gunned T-34-85; it would fit straight between PzIV and Tiger.

Staga, that pic is something else. Good find. That may have been the very tank my unit found while on patrol, who knows? It was backed into a house in Olovo, BiH! Dunno if it was accidental or some kind of deliberate fighting position, but it looks like they just rammed it thru the side of the house in reverse and it had to be towed out after the bomb guys gave the thumbs-up and cleared the recovery operation. We kept the thing since everyone thought it was pretty neat, and because we could.

Some kind of rule in the Status of Forces Agreement prevented us from actually shipping it back as a bona-fide trophy, so we leftr it in our base camp for the next unit to play around with. They were an infantry regiment, so I'm sure they got in the thing and lost a finger or something

T-34/85 didn't come out till late in 1943 I believe.

T-34/76 (1943 model) would be better choice IMO at least for the scenarios we usually see in the CT anyway. They were way more numerious than the T-34/85 till the last part of the war.

Have nothing against the T-34/85 but as soon as you get it all others are gonna be "hangar queens." The T-34/76 & Panzer IV should be Free tanks and the Tiger I & T-34/85 or KV-85 or something of that nature should be "Perk Tanks." So we can have them all on the same battlefield without haveing a flood of just one type.

HTC would have done better to put out the T-34/76 or Sherman than the Tiger I, just my opinion.

The problem with the T-34/76 is that it has no AA (neither does the T-34/85) and it's gun is so crappy that it won't be able to kill the Tiger I at all, and the Panzer IV H will be way more than a match for it.

The T-34/85 makes a lot more sense from a gameplay standpoint.

Yes the T34/85 is the best choice, and should not be perked. The Gun on the T34/85 is comperable in preformance to the 7.5cm kwk 40 L48. So in short both the panzer IVH and the T34/85 could kill each other with out to much dificulty, but their is more to this than just this aspect of AH.

But it has no AA MG, howeaver it does have a typical top armor thickness of 20mm for both the turet and the hull, which should make it almost invulnerable from all strafing atacks, and it posses better overall armor than the Panzer IVH we have thuse making it less vunerable over all to air to air atack.

While the T 34 is clearly a better choice and one I would most likely make it terms of personal favorates, I would have to say that objectively, the Sherman (M4A3) would be i think better, simply do to the fact that it would be on more of a par to the panzer IVH in over all game terms. The Sherman and the Panzer IVH would both easly kill the other toe to toe, or about as easly as the Panzer vs panzer match up's we see now. The Sherman is about as vulnerable from the air and thusly would be a better match.

M4a3 75
T34/85

and our panzer IVH
give a player a great selection of tanks and happen to be the most signifigant mid 1944 tanks for each country.

m4a3 75. High point- Best AAMG, Best HE performance. Best fire control. Speed a little worse then the T34 but noticable better then the Panzer IV. Profile is very high. Weakest AP performance. Hightest ROF. Best base attack tank of the 3

T34 85. High Points . Highest speed. Tied for best armour. Gun is as capable vs tanks as the Panzer IVH gun. NO AAMG. Low ROF
Probably the most survivable tank vs tiger. High speed and a gun that will get it done at very close range. Best of the 3 for attacking vs other armour.

Panzer IVH. High Points. Great Gun. (slightly best vs Tanks) AAMG(weak) Best of the 3 for base defence.

T-34/76 would be piece of cake for PzKpfw IVh.

T-34/85 is more like a match. 75L48 Kwk in IVh is about equal in armor penetration to T-34s 85/L53 Gun.

Because of faster reload and better optics I would take PzKpfw IVh over T-34/85 in pure armor fight.

85mm HE is however very effective and T-34/85 is much better against soft targets. Also its faster with better crosscountry ability than PzKpfw IVh.

What would realy be nice is if HTC would model historical correct sights for the tank guns instead of those cheasy generic sights we have now.

Ahem... back to the subject Gentlemen.
That being we want SOME VERSION of the T-34 in the game. OH HELL... I'll jump on the bandwagon also and campaign for the T-34/85 as well even though I don't like it as much as the T-34/76.

As for no AA gun - I notice the Tiger I has an AA MG but rarely if never carried one in combat. How much confusion would it cause to stick a AA MG on top of the T-34/85 for "PLAYABILITY?" I notice THAT WORD is used all the time for deficencies with the A/C in AH. Why not the armor.

Lastly while the sights on the armor may be "Cheasy" at least you can hit something with them. I think a bigger problem is not being able to have two players in the same tank being able to jump around the various positions like in a bomber a/c. If you could do that I think armor would become more attractive and maybe attract more players to it.
