SU-152

This is not ISU-122 or ISU-152 IMO - they had AA 12.7 MG and other hull configuration

Looks more like a ISI-122 by looking at the muzzle of the gun barrel. The ISU-152 has a ring just back from the end while the barrel in the photo does not. The superstructure is too high to be a SU vehicle.

ISU-122

No look at all 3 SPGs profile.

SU-152 is much lower than ISU -1*2.

Yes good idea, and re-read my post carefully, as in

"The superstructure is too high to be a SU vehicle." ;)

Do a measurement on the photo.

superstructure height from bottom of superstructure  = height to bottom of superstructure from the ground

So thank you for  confirming is an ISU vehicle.;)

Further proof it is an ISU vehicle, the forward return roller is closer to the second bogey wheel on the IS vehicle which but on the ISU it is positioned between the 1st and 2cd bogeys(as per your profiles)

though shows a 152 not the 122,

http://www.onwar.com/tanks/ussr/plans/isu152_44.gif

which shows no PK periscope, different roof vents as does the photo, as does your profiles

Take a good look at the gun barrel.

photo = ISU-122

Yeah chassis confirms that this is ISU, but not quite sure about 122. Look at barrel length and length/diameter proportions.

Some 152s might have no muzzle brake.

dankes, if the brake is removed then could be a 152,;) but then the barrel l is too short  than in the photo.

barrel looks a large dia.

I think its a 122.
But very definatly a great picture of a vehicle that would be great in AH.

The SU100 is based on the T-34 chassis;) while the IS and ISU are based on the KV and IS heavy tank chassis's.
