Last night a large formation of german bombers bombed London virtually unchallanged by the RAF.

Westminster Abby, White Hall, Buckingham Pallace, The Towere of London and Big Ben ALL were destroyed!

Cherchhill demands an explanation from the RAF.
"How could you let them do this?", he asks.

heh, cuz no one likes to chase Ju88's in this setup?  Or because people avoid a big red bar regardless of how many friendlies could go with them?

just my limited experience in playing this week.  logged on into a 46-17 RAF advantage so I went LW.  We did a raid, and got beat down.  Upped again at a different area, when the #'s were more even in the roster, yet still couldn't contend with the onslaught of RAF guys (was like they were all there, and just 6 of us LW guys were there.)  Sometimes you get the good even fights, other times it's like both sides want to avoid each other.  Depends on the phases of the moon or something, I guess!

Eskimo,

Might have something to do with taking 500-1000 hits from the .303's to bring down the 88's in this plane set. I think most of the RAF guys would agree the german planes are performing a bit too well in this scenario.

i can get 2-3 kills in a 109...  same for in a hurri or spit before ammo is an issue.  you think 120 rounds of 20mm goes far? think again, and once those 20mms run out, a 109 is reduced to *2*  yes count them *2* 7.62mm (.303 equivalents).  yet i can manage a kill or 2 sometimes with just those 2 guns.

have you even flown a 109e4? i see you have, at least twice.  maybe if you flew them a bit more you'd realize it's not as uber as you're implying.  it's barely faster than the spit, i've chased 109's down in a spit.  ballistics are crappy on all the planes in this setup, requiring good close in and sustained hits to do damage.

the planes aren't what's performing well. the matchups are very equitable in this setup.

I didn't notice you flying any spits this week? In most scenarios I would agree with you, but not this week.

well gee, why do you think that might be?  perhaps because when we were both on at the same time the allies had numbers so i was flying axis because you were sure weren't?

hmmm nah, that couldn't be it.

i have 25 kills in spits, 18 in hurris, 19 and 11 deaths respectively.

The 109E4 is a dog, very very heavy at the controls and not much fun to fly.

lest you're thinking i must be keeping track of it on paper or something...

takes about 10 secs to find on on the score/rank pages.

pretty neat tool that lets you track your performance in arenas, and often used by others to .
