I've been flying the arena off and on for about a week and it takes some getting used too.  My first night I managed to run down a fleeing FW190 with a 109G 10 in a canyon chase near A1(beginners luck!).  I was probably more scared the 190 pilot after nearly going to overspeed in the 109 on my first pass.   Anyway Ive enjoyed playing with most of the crowd but as Westy has mentoned a time or two, the immature types sometimes cast a depressing shadow on the game.  Maybe its the generation gap.  I'm well into middle age and I consider the chute shooting stuff to be moronic overkill.  I've also noticed that (I suspect younger people) are not very country conscious.  At times if you dive to drive the enemy off some countrymans six, you do so at your own peril- the favor may not be returned.  I also noticed what may be a bait game where 3 people (who must know each other) are flying (2 reds and 1 green) around in a circle- another green dives in to help the other and the reds zap him.  On the positive side I had a real good game with Arkanreb and other Bishop patriots last night and enjoyed it a lot even though I got no kills etc..  These guys communicated well and protect each quite well also.  They are a real credit to the game. It's really a plus when people work together and accept each others strengths and weaknesses.  And as some of you can attest to after watching my plummeting 109 zip past you and auger in a few times- I have plenty of weaknesses.  Have a good flight.  BB out.  By the way-how does one salvo bombs with a dot command???

Your assistance and cooperation at 10 last night was greatly appreciated. This game takes awhile to get used to so keep pluggin away at it.This is my first flight sim.I have only flown for 4 months. We are going against alot of guys that have flown 3+ yrs in sims. Some guys have flown the same amount of time as us and are naturals at it.I am still acm challeneged but keep tryin to learn from my mistakes.I still get frustrated in a fighter at times so when that happens I just hop in a tank or bomber.
You'll find people are here for different reasons in all countries. Some just wanna furball it and others are more into the strategic aspect of it.Sometimes these 2 fall into play with each other sometimes not. That is why some don't seem as "country concious" at times. They wanna mix it up and thats it.Most of the time it balances out where if ya need help with the bigger picture you can get it.We all pay or $30(or whatever depending on country   )so thats their perogative.
To set your bomb salvo just type .salvo # the default is 1.I normally set this to 2 at the most and make another pass. It's more accurate than 3(talkin about disposing of hangers here)Remember to set salvo back to 1 on 2nd pass so ya don't waste eggs.See ya in the air.If ya need any assistance give me a holler.

Greetings Bytor,

I believe Udie and SAW are there already.  I'llhave to check the Ladder web site to se who is all there.

A ladder type competition for a flight sim isn't my "bag".  Plus I'm really not that good!    I'd be easy meat!  I do like reading the results though!!

Maybe someday, but not right now!

Take Care!!

Hang in the BBGunn!

Yes some dweebs come & go doing dweeby things. I think this is ineveitable considering the never ending stream of new players trying the 2 week trial. Most of them learn very quickly what will & won't be tolerated.

Keep an eye on the Special Events forum for Axis Vs Allied setups.

As to ArkanReb while I havn't flown with him. I have flown against him often. He is everything I want to see in a opponant. Honorable, skilled, easy to talk to, quick to laughter. Perhaps not one of the games best killers, but an asset none the less. <S>
